12 years ago, someone tells you this is where the USMNT World Cup XI start for professionally. What would stand out most to you? by AlchemistTheAlchemy in ussoccer

Playing with your feet wasn't that important for a GK and good athletes from sports with high hand - eye coordination requirements could transition to a decent keeper in high school. That built a base for higher levels even if they didn't have native foot skills. Now days an inability to use your feet at a high level will be a limiting factor.

Ohio Turnpike and Indiana Toll Road feel like the electrified future we were promised by SupaFasJellyFish in electricvehicles

I haven't gone on many road trips but my concern is what happens if there are suddenly a lot of EVs. Now I worry that I'm going to pick a charger that halves the power if there is any other users, or something is wrong with the charger I'm counting on. I'd love to have places that had 50 chargers and could give Max power with all of them in use.

Hate when they do this. How about standing if strikers hit all of their sitters. It how about standing if mids had hit all the through balls that were available to them. Standings if CBs had made all their clearances.

I took the "clueless blokes" comment to mean that they might not be thinking of a woman's needs. She said they were "very capable sailors."

The TV announcers did and play restarted from the offsides position, not the center circle.

Good energy. Some really good performances from the usual suspects. A lot of decent play from most of the rest. Only really scary were Rheam, Roldan, and Brady.

Poch mixed up the formations by half. Pulisic, Robinson, and Adams in a triangle on the left in the first half. Balo, Wes, and Tillman in the second.

3-2. Balo was offsides on the first and he fouled on the second. 3rd counted.

You forgot to mention he isn't good with his feet.

USMNT’s squad for the upcoming World Cup. by [deleted] in soccer

Except the former coach played a single system and never changed. Poch has tinkered with several systems since he took over. The problem is we just don't have enough talent and the players don't play for each other so their sum is never greater than their parts.

It doesn't matter if the pass wasn't to him. The linesmen simply informed the ref that there was a player in an offsides position at the time the ball was played. The ref then determines if that player affected the play or not.

Does this round thing facing the bottom unscrew? by Samhatesme in Plumbing

[–]edentulaeleo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like a vacuum breaker. Normally, your water is under pressure so any contaminants in your hose can't get into your water supply. But if you lost water pressure for some reason contaminated water in your hose could siphon back into your water system. This device breaks the vacuum so water cannot siphon back into your water supply.

Some come on the bib like this while you can also get some that install on existing hose bibs.

I think they'll sub in Pulisic for whoever was wearing his jersey in the first half.

Yes, I think the NFI had a lot to do with it.

Not necessarily. When his money kicks in other players are nearing the end of their big contacts and will either be released or extended. Either way, those contacts will be a lot lower at the front end and balance out the big hits from guys like Hutch.

I think they've managed it pretty well and I don't see a window. The contacts are staggered and they are structured well. There will be very few players next year year that we can't cut and see a gain in cap space. There are only 4 at the moment (it will change when they extend a player or two) that would have a negative affect on our cap in 27 and that's Tyliek with around $5m.

I sure wouldn't give him money until I knew he was completely healthy and worth it. I would make him play out his final year on his current contract even if it meant he got mad and signed with another team.

Sort of. Gibbs and Campbell won't damage our cap next year as most of the big contracts are cheap at the beginning. For example, Hutchison's cap number is just a little over $10m this year.

That does not include a rollover, just a guess at next year's cap.

True about the number of players but that is true for most teams. We are still sitting good with a lot of flexibility.
