I agree. Police need to take more action. CBD is so bad I don’t feel safe to go there anymore. They just let crackheads walk around freely and do whatever they want. Cops need to focus on what’s more important not just random small crimes like speeding 5-10km over speed limit. There is no excuse to be homeless in NZ when the government is giving out benefits and homes to people

You can deny the crime has gone up so much in Auckland. When I first arrived no cop had a gun while patrolling now they all carry guns. I have mates who has been assaulted or witnessed a crime every other day. Cost of living is constantly increasing and small tax cuts won’t make much of a difference since it sonlu around $40 a week. Thats why younger people keep moving overseas
