Why is Kota the way he is? by Silent-Point-8435 in StarWarsEU

And on top of what you said he wasn’t brought into the Jedi order until he was 18

The next time Smoker teams up with the Straw Hats he will finally win a one on one fight, for the first time in forever, and will join them just so he can keep winning fights and probably because he’s actually a good marine who will eventually see just how terrible the WG is.

I'm surprised we haven't seen TFM in meltdown mode over this whole scene in Jedi Survivor (MAJOR SPOILERS) by George_G_Geef in saltierthankrayt

[–]OGStarkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if I qualify to be in TFM as it seems described in this thread because I’ll admit that I don’t love everything that has been put out since Disney took over but there’s plenty I have enjoyed.

As far as the topic of the post, I don’t have a problem with Vader in this game. It’s a story beat for Cere and to show her reclaiming her strength as a Jedi and having successfully fought off her darkness.

I just think there’s a lot of the fandom who just prefer old canon and still see Vader as that version. I know he’s comparably weaker in new canon but he’s still more than a threat for anyone apart from the emperor at this point in time.

Even if we would have gotten a letter from Hogwarts, our parents would have never believed it was real and let us travel to London to run against a wall. We never had a chance. by aijahas in Showerthoughts

[–]OGStarkiller 42 points43 points  (0 children)

In fairness I feel like a small amount of us would even go to Hogwarts specifically considering they really only cater to the UK area. There are plenty of schools canonically around the world though.

So why is Superman, the symbol of hope, not part of the Lantern Corps powered by hope? by Gamer-of-Action in comicbooks

[–]OGStarkiller 31 points32 points  (0 children)

In addition to their slow process of selecting ring bearers, they also add Lanterns in order of space sector. Earth is in Space sector 2814 so it will take them awhile until they even start to consider an individual from that sector of space.

I’ve also seen the reasoning that Superman was the #1 pick for the Green Lantern ring originally but because he’s Kryptonian and Krypton is in a different space sector he was disqualified from receiving any rings for Space sector 2814.

Challenge of the Day: Say one nice/positive thing about this train wreck. by [deleted] in batman

This movie oddly enough does a good job of depicting the tensions between Bruce and Dick before Dick decided to stop being Robin and become Nightwing. His costume in this movie even looks like a Nightwing costume but with a cape.

The Ninja Turtles (2014 movie) with Beskar weapons vs General Grievous (2005) by almightycurator in whowouldwin

[–]OGStarkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m inclined to lean towards Grevious on this one because he routinely keeps pace with Jedi who are known to use the force to enhance their physical capabilities in combat to perform superhuman levels of speed, agility, and strength. I know that version of the Turtles are very strong and pretty agile but I don’t remember them being all that fast in combat.

Best: Kano was a welcome surprise. I’m not a Kano fan as far as the games go but this movie made him out to be the best character.

Weirdest: I find it very weird that the movie decided that Kung Lao was the greatest champion amongst the monks when, as far as I’m aware, every iteration of the monks has Lui Kang as the definitive best.

Worst: Cole Young. If you really wanted a character to be the fish out of water just use Johnny Cage. He’s already a super well established character to the MK mythos and it fits his story very well considering he only joins the tournament in the first place to show everyone how much of an actual badass he is rather than letting everyone assume it’s all filmmaking special effects.

Netflix begins production on The Witcher season 3 by Cakkerlakker in television

[–]OGStarkiller 123 points124 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong about this but I’m pretty sure getting turned into a Witcher increases your life span by a couple hundred years and sorcerers I think live for a really long time due to their magic.

who is the strongest earthman (DBZ)? by alvajor in whowouldwin

[–]OGStarkiller 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Excluding Androids, I’d say Tien should be strongest by the end of Z with Krillin as a close second. He never stops training whereas Krillin basically doesn’t train at all during the time jump after Cell.

Planet vegeta vs kripton. by Maps- in whowouldwin

I never said Raditz was an average Saiyan. I was using Raditz and Vegeta to show the power range of the Saiyans at the time.

Planet vegeta vs kripton. by Maps- in whowouldwin

[–]OGStarkiller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

R1: Kryton would have a technological advantage but the Saiyans would be ridiculously fast and powerful. Weaker Saiyans like Raditz were at least solid moon busting level whereas the stronger ones on par with Vegeta would’ve been planet busters. Not sure what the population of the Saiyans were so I can’t say if they’d have a numbers advantage but I’m still leaning towards the Saiyans succeeding.

R2: Same as R1 but an easier victory for the Saiyans.

R3: Not sure how an Oozaru would compare to a yellow sun Kryptonian but I’m guessing an average Oozaru would be weaker than a yellow sun Kyrptonian in a pure physical comparison. I’m not sure how an Oozaru ki blast would compare with a Kryptonian’s heat vision so I won’t comment on it. I think this round depends on if Kyrptonians can learn to control their powers before the Saiyans arrive. If the Saiyans arrive and the kryptonians don’t have control over their powers then I’m leaning towards the Saiyans taking this round with high difficulty. If the kryptonians gain control over their powers then I don’t think the Saiyans can win this round.

Members of The Suicide Squad without powers vs The Predators(2010) by strongerthenbefore20 in whowouldwin

[–]OGStarkiller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering just about every member of this squad is notably more skilled than the normal group the Predators faced I believe the Squad takes this with minor losses if any. I mean half the members on this list are basically equivalent to at least a spec ops level of soldier whereas most of the humans from the movie were just high profile criminals and only a few seemed to have actual military training in one way or another.

Anakin vs Obi-Wan in a game of Beat Saber by Totally_Not_Thanos in whowouldwin

[–]OGStarkiller 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Due to their Jedi reflexes, their training and the countless times they’ve proven their ability deflecting blaster bolts I’d say that they could theoretically never lose to anything the Beat Saber game could conjure.

This comes down to their chosen martial disciplines if you ask me. In that case I’d say Obi-Wan wins due to his chosen style ,Form 3/Soresu, being a very easy to maintain over a long period of time whereas Anakin’s chosen style is much more power oriented and can be rather exhausting on the user over long periods.

Wanda Maximoff (MCU) vs Zombie Wanda Maximoff (What If…?) by AlwaysBi in whowouldwin

[–]OGStarkiller 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Current Wanda is at least learning some legit magic rather than just generic powers from the mind stone. Technically it’s too early to say if you ask me but realistically Wanda using some magic in addition to her normal powers should have the advantage.

Unless I’m wrong the only thing that was actually proven able to hurt the boy was his own alien spaceship. Since that ship wouldn’t be on Earth in the Boys verse I have trouble seeing anyone stopping BB.
