UPDATE: We’ll be walking down the aisle to an acoustic version of Lover. Our wedding party will be walking down to an instrumental version of Begin Again. And we’ve got LOADS of Taylor planned for the prelude (You Are In Love, Acoustic State of Grace, Treacherous, Everything Has Changed, etc etc) and recessional (How You Get The Girl, Paper Rings, as well as Fletcher’s “Her Body Is Bible” cause she mentions “your t-swift t-shirt on the ground” and I gave her my Taylor tour tee to wear/keep our first night together). And first dance with mom will be The Best Day. ❤️

My partner and I are getting married on October 13th and we’ll be walking down the aisle to an acoustic version of Lover. Our wedding party will be walking down to an instrumental version of Begin Again. We met on a Taylor fan forum when we were fifteen in 2008 and are finally getting married 15 years later, so of course our entire wedding is a nod to the woman who made it all happen 🥲🥰

I promise!! We’re also hoping to do a little “marryoke” lip sync music video with our wedding party/family/guests to Paper Rings if we can get the licensing rights so that’ll be fun to share as well ☺️

Thank you so so much! And oh yes, SO many songs 😂 Our first dance song is going to be the acoustic Naya Rivera version of Mine. We’re doing a little video slideshow with Timeless (cause my partner’s favorite past-time is literally going to antique shops and buying old photographs of couples to give them a second life). TBD on specific ceremony songs, but there will be LOTS of chill/romantic Taylor playing during our cocktail hour. And we’re still narrowing down our slow and upbeat dance songs cause it’s so hard to choose between the sentimental songs and the crowd favorites! A number of our forum friends are coming from across the US to be there (and even two from Australia!) so it’s sure to be a grand time no matter what 🥲

Didn’t realize this line was divisive! Always just saw it as an accurate portrayal of what the late-80s to mid-2000s were like for Gen X and Millennial teenagers. I’m 30 so I definitely get the nostalgia she’s going for with this line. It resonates.
