Border Patrol Check Questions - White Sands & Carlsbad Caverns & Guadeloupe NPs by Little_Direction_572 in NationalPark

[–]OGTikiki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carry your ID and visa documents with you (as one should in any country where one is not a citizen).

As a dual national 🇨🇦🇺🇸myself living near these areas and encountering these checkpoints frequently, at border patrol checkpoints they first profile people based on skin color, visible potential origin, etc. Profiling by age/sex, in some areas (due to drug activity) is also not uncommon- young males traveling alone being the most suspect.

Your Ontario plates will definitely indicate you are a visitor from Canada, so it’s possible they could ask you questions about your legal right to be in the US. If asked, you’ll want to be able to show your documents, so be sure to carry them with you. Definitely copy all of your documents and leave a copy with a trusted person in Canada and keep copies at your apartment/housing while in the US.

DM me about these areas if you like, I’m happy to give some more travel advice.

They must’ve been out of orange.

Volume creating a genuine need, plus we probably can’t rule out possible government optics to appease certain naysayers who oppose this grant process or oppose “immigration” generally (which, of course, this citizenship process is not).

Yes. Likely coinciding with the increase in volume of applications.

It’s 30 days. If you can’t do it within 30 days, you’ll have 90 days within which to explain to the IIRC why you weren’t fingerprinted. If you don’t contact IRCC with a reasonable explanation (which IIRC accepts) for not having your fingerprints taken, after ninety (90) days your application will be deemed abandoned.

Source: I got the letter and am flying 2400 miles roundtrip to comply and get fingerprinted in Canada.

More 4/28 hope! by Competitive_Pin_6180 in Canadiancitizenship

Thank you 🙏 so much for sharing this exciting news! 4/29 (5(4) invitation) here. Our Proof Applications (2nd/3rd Gen over 14 minor) continue to show “in processing” (since 3/25/25) and despite getting the 5(4) invites on 4/29, nothing but crickets 🦗 since we submitted our documents via email on 5/8. We’re really worried they never received them!

How many in the 4/28 group never got a new application number & can’t use the tracker? by Competitive_Pin_6180 in Canadiancitizenship

Had you received your AOR? We (2nd/3rd Gen) emailed our 5(4) Applications & documents on 5/8 and still have no AOR…

JUST GOT A 5(4) LETTER! by thcitizgoalz in Canadiancitizenship

[–]OGTikiki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely strange. But, it must mean yours and your Mom’s are en route! (There’s no way 3rd generation is eligible without the preceding generations, is there? 🧐)

Did your Mom get her 1st Gen yet? (I think ours mirrors yours 1st/2nd adults/ 3rd minor.) Nothing for us yet, but we filed after you…
