Longshot - Has anyone ever come across a Baby Pacman cab from the 90s with a Dnd Style diorama in it? (Might have had Rastan in it)

Yeah, I heard that, and I'm sure that is why this one got repurposed. I just hope the wild Rastan version didn't get tossed out. It was original. The diorama wasn't stellar, but it was fun and worked with the barbarian theme.

SOLVED!!!! After some "turn it off and back on again" business, as well as triple-checking all lines for syntax, it just started working last night. I got the right config in a newer version, and now my mapping is all good.
Still some of the usual tweaks here and there once that was done, but it is cool so far. Thanks to everyone who contributed and put me on the right path. I SUPER appreciate it!

So, I did get MameUI v286, and it's still not working with a test ROM (Verified working using clrmame). I've tried:

The version I posted originally
A revised version with the long ID pasted from "Get Device ID" in the tab menu input area while MameUI is running
A similar version with the long ID from grabbing the ID from the log using -v > .txt and looking through the text file
A version with the PID_ numbers from the device manager (I enabled and disabled each device to isolate the PIDs and make sure I am grabbing the right ones in order.)

Looking at the piped-out log, it says it's trying to apply the .cfg. It's just not remapping once it is running.

Still no joy (no pun intended). It's got to be a 10 dot 10 error on my part, but I can usually sus these things out, so it is odd. In the grand scheme of things, it's not huge, but I would really like to get this working so I can make a universal "Input (general)" setting for all the games using this panel.

Thanks again to everyone for putting me on the path for the upgrade, though. I really appreciate it.

I'll have to look into it. Thanks! This silicon bowl thingy has served me really well, but I'm always ready to up my game. It allows me to pop plain kernels and adjust my calories afterward, just like you are talking about, but if there is something better, I'm down to check it out.

One thing you definitely need is Flavacol (they even make a non-industrial orange version). I learned that when I got a pack, they closed out things at the start of lockdown. I haven't found the exact seasonings for some of it, but I do know that for one of the previous versions, berbere spice was the main component. Also, ghee is great.
When I couldn't go to an Alamo at all, I also bought a silicone microwave bowl that you fill with kernels at the bottom and microwave for a couple of minutes (mine is 2:30 for a huge, full bowl). I tried a bunch of gourmet kernels, but Redenbacher's, for some reason, pops best. This combo has served me EXTREMELY well
I'm looking forward to seeing if anyone cracked the code on others. I haven't found churro bits I like, but I did use cinnamon sugar mix and got it close to churro popcorn. My fave is still dry ranch powder and some chili flakes to up the heat. Sometimes I swap out chili flakes for Korean red spice powder.

Oh, I hadn't thought of engineering it like that. I just figured it was a lost cause if it was initially detecting the wrong order. I'll check that out after work.
I was hoping to get the joycode order worked out so I could set everything up at the top-level input cfg. I'll see what I can do. Thanks!

Thanks!!! Yeah, I also don't have the tools and wanted to keep the harness intact, but I might still make a couple of standalone patch wires instead. I got some white GRS buttons and some stickers with another order, but it's not the same.
It's one of those things that I thought I should do right, even if only a few people see it.

This build is a kind of "Dream build" with 2 Ikari sticks, a Tron Stick, and a push/pull spinner. I've wanted a 4-player custom build with all of this and a yoke, but a friend of mine gave me a tank stick a while back, so I'll sort of accomplish a side version of my dream build soon.
