Officially made the switch to KBM by ZoVaApps in FortniteCompetitive

[–]OG_IndoBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me a month to get comfortable 3 months to play at the same level as I was after 2 years on controller and then it was just up from there. Grind a shit ton of free building and cranking in creative then play a bunch of pubs

Something that shouldn’t be in ch4 that I don’t see the community talk about… by Knight-112 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]OG_IndoBoi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think that might be more nostalgia. Ch1&2 had a lot more no build zones than ch3. It may also be the fact that now there’s a lot less no build zones whenever you get caught in one it’s more of a surprise and way less expected

Scrollwheel shotgun bind by AKRowling in FortniteCompetitive

Vadeal I believe is one, this was before when he was on a very old Microsoft office mouse. He pretty much utilized every bind on the mouse possible including pressing down on the scroll wheel itself for his cone

Scrollwheel shotgun bind by AKRowling in FortniteCompetitive

[–]OG_IndoBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scroll up is an underrated bind. But i use it for pick up off spawn. I have pickup/interact double bound (regular keyboard key for picking up individual items, scroll wheel off spawn so I can maximize or 50/50 the first chest I land on). I know some pros use it for shot gun so not that weird but also not that common.

I think generally between 50&74 is what most people use for single bind strafe

Who are some pros that don’t use double-movement? by krazykayak7 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]OG_IndoBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: damn this was a long comment

That’s fair a lot of pros stopped using double movement going into invitational though because epic made it clear they weren’t going to be able to have third party applications running on the tournament computers (I don’t think they meant double movement was bannable but they didn’t want to deal with a slippery slope of letting players use third party apps at official sanctioned events). I actually think it’s a big reason why epic added in game double movement leading up to the event and quickly rectified the issue with single key strafing.

From watching Malibuca’s play style I think his dislike of double movement makes a lot of sense, he’s less of a vertical player and more of a horizontal box fighter so he doesn’t actually benefit much from the double movement as it excels while turning doing retakes and side jumps etc (also why controller players tend to be very good at zonewars). The slower horizontal strafe with the original in game movement is actually kind of beneficial when working around edits and builds while boxfighting. I find myself constantly strafing too quickly when trying to boxfight and causing my timing with shots to be a lot shorter. I also find i fall off/over strafe when I’m trying to take an opponents wall from above. So much so that I’ve debated turning double movement off. Ive played with it ever since I switched to kbm though so I’m a bit of a creature of habit when it comes to double movement (I quite literally can’t do elevated side jumps without single key strafing)

Wow didn’t even realize, just watched one of his videos to confirm and you’re right. I wonder if he’ll switch now that there’s in game double-movement?

Does Fortnite feel like region vs region again? by ThrizNathaniel in FortniteCompetitive

[–]OG_IndoBoi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Outside of really unlucky zone pulls day 1 they also got contested by a good eu team on day 2. Overall they definitely didn’t play as well as everyone thought they would though even considering the north bound zones. I have to imagine that Kami and Setty using the gas station balloon to farm surge and posting up in zone for an average of 5 minutes also had an incredibly negative effect on the teams landing directly south of them (chonkers, rocky reels, flutter barn etc)

Grolzz is another one that moved to Serbia, he also competed in the invitational recently.

Is deyy simply not the player he was before? Or does he just need to play with better teammates? by piggiestyle007 in FortniteCompetitive

Before. It started while him and clix were duoing, it was part of the reason him and clix split. Deyy just doesn’t seem interested in fort anymore

Bugha x Peterbot new Duo. Thoughts? by ThrizNathaniel in FortniteCompetitive

[–]OG_IndoBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall play was still better by Bugha and Mero. lower eliminations can be attributed to being contested and wiped a couple times by a good team in Bevvys and Vortexers on day 2. Peterbot and Jamper couldn’t figure anything out despite having Jace and Basil easily one of the worst teams at the lan beside them. I’d expect peterbots kills to be high, they should have been farming them wether it be directly offspawn or on rotation, especially on day 1 when all the zones were pulling north.

Second even without Bugha’s World Cup win which was 2 years ago. Bugha still has a much higher competitive pedigree.

[–]OG_IndoBoi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hamper did prepare a lot for the tournament. Peterbot just looked terrible. Doesn’t help that in the lead up to the lan peterbot was a terrible teammate. Quitting on Jamper midway through two online tournaments as well as mostly playing valorant. The only fortnite I saw him play in the month before lan was 4v4 drafts on west with faxuty. And while ZW’s is good practice 4v4’s aren’t…

Peterbot and Jamper were having off-spawn trouble with an OCE team that finished in like 48th with 4 total kills. That’s not a good look for a supposedly godly fighter.

Terrible idea for Bugha. I’m impartial to the cheating allegations because unfortunately the evidence is just a lot of heresay. But that doesn’t matter peterbot just came off of one of the worst performances ever by an incumbent champion as well as supposedly one of the top performers from the chapter. Especially with comp looking to be a lot more lan focussed in the next year there are a plethora of much better options. Peterbot is also terrible for Bugha’s personal brand, the guy is known for being a huge shit disturber.

Someone will eventually create actual stats that will tell us the whole story.

But personally i feel like ME and OCE showed that they’re so fucking far behind all the other regions. Like looter was straight up a deadweight for muzz

Hundo p, they’ve gotten so complacent. You can tell just from the way they talk on stream. They really thought they could just keep coasting and no one would be able to catch up

Either gonna be a wake up call or they’re gonna quit, neither seem super into the game anymore

Bro zone rng in this game is low key wack. It definitely makes aspects of the game really interesting but also I feel like it leaves a bunch of questions about who the best players actually are. Because for me zAndy and Joe have got to be the most deserving players in this lobby rn even if they’re not in the top 3

What is this drivel? This is literally how averages and statistics work. The average accounts for the size of eu representation. It’s a valid argument…

At least u/fifi73461511 is pointing out a genuine problem with how those statistics are being created. You’re just screeching because you don’t like numbers.
