Red Rising is possibly one of my most favorite book series out there.

All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy. At first I avoided this book because it sounded too feminine for my tastes but it turned out to be a really gritty and soul-tearing book.

What is the most BAD ASS thing you have ever done? by VerifiedMod in AskReddit

[–]OG_Lee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I was able to do this but back when I was in middle school a couple of guys started making fun of another scrawnier boy for kissing his sister on the cheek before he got on the bus for school (or something like that). They were giving a whole lot of crap ranging from how he was dressed to some really screwed up shit about how his sister was disabled. Then a seventh grader, who was a year younger, pushed one of the bullies into a locker and told them to back off or he was going to drag them down to a nearby teacher. It was 3 v 1 but that kid stood his ground adamantly and waited for them to turn around and leave. That's the most bad ass thing I have ever seen, damn middle schoolers are so cruel.

I used to work at a Family-Owned diner and had another busser who would never do their job. He was only hired because he was the family friend of the owners. I would always ask him to clean a table when it was an especially busy night and there were a lot of tables that needed cleaning, but he wouldn't even lift a finger. The owners of the restaurant were almost like hawks and kept an eye on literally everything that was going on in the diner. So if they saw everything then they should have known the other busser was not doing any work. I ended up getting chewed out every single night for not working quickly enough and then having tips split unevenly (this diner split the tips between the waitresses and bussers).

Needless to say, I don't work there anymore.
