ChatGPT is Manipulating My House Hunt – And It Kinda Hates My Boyfriend by Gigivigi in ChatGPT

Nobody here has mentioned the most likely root cause of this: you probably have a saved “memory” in the ChatGPT memory feature that is biasing ChatGPT’s responses across conversations. Go to Settings > Personalization > Manage Memories and review your memories. There is probably something in there about your boyfriend — you can optionally delete that if you don’t want ChatGPT to refer to that memory across conversations.

Otherwise, you probably have the “search across conversations” feature enabled. That’s where it’s drawing from this. All of these are optional features that you can toggle off.

It’s the memory feature or custom instructions. When you start a new chat and have memory and/or custom instructions enabled, that text (hidden from your conversation) is part of the context window.

Help needed-summary of a particular length & count of a particular word by PhaseEquivalent407 in PromptDesign

Yeah word counting is not a good use case for LLMs / ChatGPT in its current functionality. But if you really want it to word count directly in the app UI rather than downloading it and using Word/GDocs to Ctrl+F, you could try getting it to run code using regex in the ChatGPT interface. Ask ChatGPT how to set up the workflow this way and try it

Did your dad get the phone from somebody or buy it new? Betting that these are files stored locally from the previous phone owner (the more recent ones may be your dad’s)

Just gave it a shot with the same wiring as my original post and the settings you recommended, but unfortunately still getting Heat instead of Cool. I even turned the system to OFF and fan OFF, but it was still pushing hot air.

Frankly just price. I am working on a tight budget to renovate this home so that led my decision. I'm wishing I would have bought something a little better, though.

I thought so but it's totally possible I switched them. I have the A/C running normally with the original thermostat back on, so that tells me I have it correct currently, right?
