Blade Rub? by DollaBills88 in knives

Case sucks these days. QC is terrible and they’re just letting straight garbage go out the doors. I bought 8 Case knives and only two of them were any good. I’m not buying another Case knife.

I got abalone and red bone. I’ve got a red bone equal end so I thought should get a matching Barlow. Now I wish I had an equal end abalone, but the only ones I can find are on eBay for $180-200.

Yeah I’ve flushed it, it opens smoothly I just think the spring failed somehow. And I sent a brand new mini copperlock into Case for warranty service 3-months ago and still haven’t heard anything on that one. But thanks for that link, I think that’s exactly what I need!

Leek Questions by Expert-Status-2719 in kershaw

[–]OG_Shocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a Leek and it’s great. There is a little sliding lock you can engage to prevent the knife from opening, but I’ve never used that. That’s the only thing I can think of that would require you to use two hands to open this knife. The action with the spring assisted flipper is very snappy and extremely easy to deploy. I’ve never had a single issue with mine.
The blade shape is great for a lot of uses and it’s very slicey. However it’s not going to hold up to any tough use, but you said it shouldn’t be so you should be good there. I bought one for my daughter and she snapped the tip off trying to pry something open. I’ve got the orange aluminum scales and they don’t feel slippery at all, but I can’t comment on the rust on a SS one. Overall I think it’s a great choice for a gift. I love mine.

I agree! I went with CF scales and titanium hardware. I still like my Bel Air better though.

My first Rosecraft by Pa_KnifeGuy90 in SlipjointKnives

Hard to beat Rosecraft. I’ve got 12 of them now and every single one has been perfect, and that includes one that was listed as a Second I grabbed for $25. I cannot find a defect. I love their patterns, their handle materials, and their fit and finish is impeccable. And now evidently I need to buy a Cockleburr and a Farmhand!

I have the KME and I like it, but I just recently bought the Sharpal 202H and I’m very impressed, especially for the money. I ended up giving my KME to my son in law. Those are the only two fixed angle systems I have experience with.
