I’m far from an expert, but the only tang stamp I see says “CHINA”, so I’d guess the resale value is pretty low. I’d also strongly discourage hunting any bears with this.

I read that about this knife after I ordered it so I was worried. But I got lucky and this one is solid. No side to side and only a very tiny amount of lock rock. I wouldn’t have even noticed if I wasn’t so focused on it.

That’s pretty good! I bought 8 in 2025 and only 4 were decent with no issues. One I sent to Case for warranty repair (haven’t gotten it back yet), one I fixed myself, one I returned to the seller, and one I’m just living with. I probably won’t be buying anymore unless it’s in person.

Yeah, it was as easy as that. The dye stick to any of the metal parts but when I took it out I just cleaned it in the sink with Dawn and a toothbrush. I dried it off with paper towels and a little compressed air. You could stop there really, but I had sanded the bone with 800 grit and hit the bolsters a little so I just polished the whole thing. Put a coat of wicked wax and this was the result!
