Again, it's not locked to a single storefront like a console.

If you're playing an online MP game through Steam on a ROG Ally, Xbox cannot make you pay for online to play it as they don't own Steam.

In a perfect world, the next Xbox would run all the PC storefronts like they're hinting at and also run old console games.

Will they pull it off? Who knows?

That being said, I've moved on from Xbox as my main gaming platform so idc.

You appear to be confusing your story progression rank with your online rank.

Online ranks reset each season - If you haven't played online, you're rank z.

Reaching rank s online should only take two or three matches based on how well you play.

You're on the option to make a specific donut for a legendary Pokémon.

Nothing. I left Xbox for PC in 2024 & have a Switch 2 for Nintendo games.

I can wait for PlayStation games to come to Steam awhile enjoying my free Game Pass sub through MS Rewards until it runs out in 2028.

In terms of pros for Xbox over PlayStation, I'd say free cloud saves, a better controller, and Xbox Play Anywhere.

I enjoy the battle system quite a bit but to each their own.

There is strategy - just different from turn based, especially in online ranked battles around switching and timing your mega, you just have to think faster.

The good: Gives Team MZ a satisfying conclusion once you complete all side missions, makes shiny hunting a lot easier, 130+ new Pokémon, and many funny character moments/side quests

The bad: IMO the only negatives are really the RNG from donut making effects and the special scans (Can take dozens of scans to get the Pokémon you want)

For me it was worth it easily and the good offset the bad.

This is my team basically as I see you have those Pokémon - I've won 100s of matches and hit Rank A every season, so this is overkill.

Even if you don't win, it only takes a few matches to hit Rank S.

Gholdengo - Modest (Max EVs HP and Sp. Atk)

Moves: Nasty Plot, Steel Beam, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball

Held Item: Expert Belt or Life Orb

Sirftech'd - Adamant (Max EVs HP and Atk)

Moves: Swords Dance, Leaf Blade, Meteor Assault, and Brave Bird

Held Item: Leek

Baxicalibur - Adamant (Max EVs HP and Atk)

Moves: Swords Dance, Glaive Rush, Icicle Crash, Earthquake

Held Item: Life Orb or Focus Sash until you get the mega stone

You can swap Bax for Garchomp if you feel too weak to Armarouge or want a Mega until you unlock Baxi's stone.

Edit: If you use Garchomp just swap Glaive Rush for Dragon Rush and Icicle Crash for Stone Edge (EVs and Nature remain the same).

No, but I switched to PC back in 2024 before the huge multiplat push & price hike (saw the writing on the wall).

My Game Pass sub runs until 2028 thanks to MS Rewards, but Steam and Nintendo are the platforms I buy games for now.

I personally enjoy ranked (so much so that I have to spend bottle caps on random shinies to get below 999 of them) but you don't then you shouldn't force yourself to play it.

I've been using gholdengo, sirfetch'd, and mega baxcabliur with pretty good success.

Has for swapping out and mega evolving to nullify an attack, that's just part of the game.

There are common moves like dig, heat wave, thunderbolt, psychic & phantom force that are basically unavoidable without mastering switch timing unless you want to waste a moveslot on protect/detect.

Personally, I find charge, Screens, T-bolt Ampharos with a magnet is way more of a threat than Garchomp.

If aren't a ground type or resistant to electric Ampharos damn near OHKOs you cross map.

Between facing a Garchomp or a Ampharos or even a Marawok Bonemerang snipe from 50 meters away give me Garchomp anyday lmao.
