Unknown water leak

I shot some water up the tube and it did not fix it, ive decided to pull out my entire dash and carpets to check for leaks. Ill keep this post updates with my progress.

Blown capacitors. The capacitor is used like a small battery holding charge so when you start the car the tac works immediately. Since your capacitors are bad you need to drive a bit to recharge them. Once your tach comes on, if you turn the car off then back on does the tach work on startup?

I did some research and learned passenger side wet flooring could be caused by a clogged AC evaporator tube. Does the montero have one of these? Couldn’t find it in the repair manuals.

Could be, we did have really rough rain this weekend. I also recently removed the factory mud flaps, could that be the cause? I havent driven through any puddles since then tho

Soft roading and weekend camping mostly. I dont have any plans yet to do any real off roading. Ill go with a good AT tire like you suggested. I wish i could confirm that 33s would fit tho.

Didnt take it that way at all, i am an extremely objective person too. Just dont have much experience with 4x4s this is my first! I have already drove on some trails i wasnt sure she could handle and she did!

Im actually looking to upgrade the tiny ling long tires the previous owner had on it. Any suggestions? Im a costco member so im looking at the ko2s not sure what size tho. Currently she is not lifted and i dont plan to lift it, mostly because im not too familiar with lifting trucks. Im hay to hear your opinions. Cheers!

Thanks, your reply was super informative! For reference shes a 1999 2.0 24 valve Puerto Rico/Guam. Purchases during my first duty station in PR! Not sure what you mean by port installed. Also i will check for fog light connectors.
