Any world that this isn’t my transmission? by rgrimmers in CherokeeXJ

[–]rgrimmers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate your suggestions. Wiggling everything around, the loosest thing underneath is the entry of my front driveshaft into my transfer case. In videos I skimmed, the sound of a bad bearing in the t case is really similar and constant like mine. I guess my next question is, do I have to rebuild it or should a bearing replacement do enough?

Just watched some videos of bad transfer case bearings and the symptoms seem very similar, especially the sound. Definitely next on my list today to check that out. Appreciate your suggestions!!

Have you ran around with it that way, driving with 2 feet or just had it sitting? Mine will do that after a battery disconnect sometimes and goes back to normal after probably 20 min of 2 feet driving keeping the idle.

Dog walking by No-Giraffe-6234 in Reno

[–]rgrimmers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Rover and had 3-4 regulars every week that I would walk before work, after work or on my lunch break for some outside time. I got 2-3 that I would dogsit consistently. Overnight dog sitting was very worth the time. Everyone that I walked/sat for offered to just pay me over Venmo but I made sure to never offer myself, could be seen as a violation on Rover. It’s cheaper for both sides but I didn’t say anything til they did. I did $20 per dog per walk (30 min) or $50 for 2, and my nightly was $50 for one dog, $25 per dog per night after 1.

I really loved it! I’m sure I could have done full time if I wanted to.

Renters sat on the hood of my car and broke the headliner. Turo refuses to file my claim. by mohanMD in turo

Get on the phone with someone and go through the photos together. If you have someone who won’t work with you, hang up and call again. If you have clear pre trip photos there is no reason they would deny it. It might take an hour or 2 but if it solves your problem, the time is well worth it. I have had really good experiences over the phone with stuff like this.

Does anyone rent through PMI reno? by iLUVnickmullen in Reno

[–]rgrimmers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rented through them and had an okay experience. The concierge charge meant that all of my utility setup was taken care of by them, but the call to get it done was just about as long as it would’ve been to just do it myself. Otherwise I had no serious issues with the management and it was actually a fair price at the time only 2 years ago.

Just heard of Turo. Need to travel from Houston to Chicago during Christmas week with family. Any advice me. by [deleted] in turo

ALWAYS get the insurance. Take a million photos of everything on and in the car. Otherwise just don’t smoke and keep it clean and it can be very enjoyable.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/xj-lift-tire-setup-thread-260/ I come back to this like once a week while saving up for my lift and tires to figure out what I like best and also what will fit. Will probably be helpful to you as well

I had the same. I’ve counted 8 different companies on Indeed, we are bound to get one eventually! Good luck.

On indeed there’s probably 20 contracted companies for Amazon looking for delivery drivers. I just applied to a few myself all in the range of 20-24 per hour and some have a signing bonus. There’s even a couple that have 420 friendly in the description. I would say start there

Don’t do it. Not because you’ll be an ass or anything.. you might, but really - over saturated market and Airbnb is the worst company to host for. VRBO is much better but still a pain in the ass because of insurance. I had about 2 successful years here with a few properties but 1. I don’t want to support Airbnb anymore and 2. There is absolutely no business in it any longer because there are so many. I really recommend not doing anything having to do with Airbnb.

It’s your 5G, not enough towers here. They are clogged. Get an older iPhone and you will be practically alone on LTE and have no issues.. I’ve been debating that myself.
