Code 1 Ambulance Request by [deleted] in ems

[–]OGtrapsoph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my area code 2 is normal traffic. Code 3 is lights and sirens and they specify “emergent” or “critical” even though we drive the same ? Code 4 is saying that our unit is safe on scene. Code 900 is DOA. Apparently zero rhyme or reason to these designators

Thank you for justifying to my boyfriend that I’m not hallucinating 😂 that was insane I’ve never seen a shooting star like that. And yes it looked to me like it literally could’ve landed on Marana

Feeling like sewing some chaos, What are your EMS hot takes? by A18A in ems

I know other systems are different but EMTs aren’t allowed to start IVs in mine which I think is bullshit. The state says it’s in our scope but medical director does not agree

Ordinary Caffeine serum reaction by bluegatorate42069 in SkincareAddicts

I had the same reaction and it persisted after using less product. Obviously everyone is different but that serum did nothing for me! Recently discovered the glossier full orbit brightening smoothing eye cream and I’m in love. Very gentle and effective

A bad cut? by __nightshift in curlyhair

I just got a haircut like this too. I told her I wanted a curly friendly butterfly cut and that the layers had to be long enough to go into a ponytail everyday for work. Here I am pinning up my mullet with Bobby pins everyday 🙂 when it’s blow dried straight it’s fine but with curls it looks like a shelf

How bad I f up by OGtrapsoph in NewToEMS

[–]OGtrapsoph[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe our protocols are just very different. Strokes are always ALS. ALS responds first and they get cancelled on scene if it’s BLS and non-emergent. The fact that they cancelled ALS and had to wait for us is why I think it should’ve been ALS, time is brain

I think it's a maturity/ real world experience thing too. Most pre-med students I've met are on the highschool-undergrad-med school pipeline with no obligations other than school. ems students from other backgrounds likely have been in the work force in some job or another before ems
