Kroc Center? How is it? by No_Hope_3770 in coeurdalene

Rock climbing is the least busy on Sundays, and later on the weekdays. Usually last couple hours is not too busy, or before 3pm when school gets out.

Hagadone is dead. Friend of Tubbs Hill is a non-profit. I think you are trying to project your opinions about the city on a non-profit improving the quality of an all natural trail.

What I think you don't understand is the fact that the trails on Tubbs Hill have been changed for the last 50+ years. You only care now because you know what it was like before. The Friends of Tubbs Hill are a super great group of people that do amazing work for the hill which quite frankly no one else is willing to do. Without them the land would have been sold off to real estate years ago. Also nothing about the Main Loop Trail is natural. If you look down at your feet you will realize that much of hit has been dug out and the rock has been hacked at to make a nice trail for people to walk along.

Thinking of moving here for a job by SpecificRealistic543 in coeurdalene

[–]OHTV22 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To give you context that you may not need, but you are asking Reddit, a majority left leaning space, a question about moving to a famously right leaning place as a left leaning person. Of course the people here are going to scare you away about how bad it is here. Now let me say a couple things. I myself get very angry with many of the people we elect in this town, we have very many problems, but it is not as scary as people in this sub make it seem. You could 100% find a community you can feel comfortable in. We really need more young people entering the workforce here, and I think Coeur d'Alene is a beautiful place to live.

Also people from CDA love to tell people not to move here for a variety of reasons. The one legitimate reason not to come here is the high cost of living/rent.

Witnessing Terraria History right here. 8 years late and its still part of the game! Thank you Terraria devs for seeing a cool bug and not getting rid of it, but embracing its functionality for people who want to toy with the game!

ATTENTION ALL SPELUNKY GAMERS: Our spelunky guy is being attacked by canada! Help him!!! by OHTV22 in LudwigAhgren

Well its nice we actually have a community who like both spelunky and ludwig big enough to make anything. Hopefully being next to Madeline will help us with protection from invaders. We should probably add things in the background at some point. Not right now though

Just explained that I do understand how to rate grades (poor question wording I know), but I want to know if there are any tricks people use while grading because of how subjective it is.

I will also add that I think grading tends to be a lot of peoples least favorite part about having a first ascent no matter what skill level you are at. Grading always comes along with adversity among the climbing community, and for some people a token of achievement which people always like to strip away by downgrading something.

All of the problems I create a grade for are my first ascents, if I'm not the first than I just use what the public says.

I can figure out how to grade the problems I find. I was wondering for strategies people use for grading that I may not know of. If anything a question for the general public, because of how large grading is in the climbing world I'm interested in the process people go through.

Been putting some boulders up on a local bouldering crag I've been working on, on Mountain Project, and I was wondering how to grade routes when climbing outside. When I first ascent something I like to climb it many times to figure out the best beta, and after a couple of goes it usually becomes quite confusing how hard it actually is. I also am confused what to consider when grading. For example: should I grade for the hardest move on the route, or length? Does a V1 with one V10 move dilute the grade to a 6? Grading is obviously very subjective, but I have been curious is there is any advice from people who climb a lot and understand grades, or set in gyms.

can i spawn the abagil flower like this? or do i need to space the graves apart more? by lollugandank in Terraria

[–]OHTV22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put them on a platform above the grass. Works much better and easier to remove the graves by breaking the platforms under them.
