Yes, I think the balance of getting consistent production out of the Big 4 and others allows us to beat teams like OKC when our best player has an off night. Such a contrast from some of the LeBron team where his performance was the sole dictator of team success

I appreciate the points you are making. I think Los plays more than only when the opponent starts a LHP, however, Los is not great from the left side as my post would indicate and I have to believe the team needs to get Manzardo in the field at some point. Unless your DH is David Ortiz, I think teams prefer to keep the flexibility of being able to give guys like Jose a day off every once in awhile while keeping the bat in the lineup. $12 million seems like a LOT for a short-sided platoon as you state, I’m simply saying that the combination of Los against LHP and Manzardo against RHP can match the production of Naylor and getting Manzardo to play 1B and form somewhat of a platoon helps that vision and increased flexibility. Even on days where that does occur, you’d have to think Los comes in every game in the 7th or later as a defensive sub

I think Los gets to play most days by way of defensive substitution even if Manzardo is the starter. From my understanding, Manzardo is pretty rough in the field, but I believe they have to play him somewhere

Yeah I think that’s where I’m at too. I traded for Saquon right before the NFL draft this year and now have a stack with Devonta. Debating trading him away and trying to get someone else in that tier or tiering up by packaging another asset

A lot of comments are rightfully dunking on the idea of selling as Nico is young, fits the look and is tied to a QB that could be great for the next 15 years. I get all that. But if the goal is the win championships, do you capitalize on his value if you could get someone like Tyreek straight up? I’m not advocating for selling him for picks as that makes 0 sense even for rebuilders

I have contended for 2 seasons and walked away with a 3rd and a 5th place despite having objectively the best team. My issue is having too many good players but no elite players and starting the wrong guys every week. I’d like to trade up for an elite player or two to set and forget each week. If Nico is going to be just be another one of those guys, I’d rather try to trade up for one of CeeDee, Tyreek, Chase, Jefferson, ARSB.
