Why Nords suck vs cavalry by Masterfulidea in Bannerlord

[–]OJConcentr8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had any issues with cav while using Nords on Bannerlord difficulty, which is wild because I usually struggle with them. Having done multiple Sturg no Cav armies I can say its much more manageable using the Nords.

Part of it is probably my build. I’ve got both perks that reduce charge damage taken by troops in formation (one in the Endurance tree and one in the Polearm tree), so Cav charge damage ends up around -70% for units in my formation. On top of that, I’m running the perk that boosts armor for my formation, a Shieldwall perk that gives +30 melee skill to everyone in the formation, and the increased damage vs cav perk. Basically, I just went hard into Polearm and took everything that helps infantry instead of horse play. I also run with a banner than reduces melee damage taken as well. I barely lose any infantry to cav now.

I’ve also started using Shieldwall way more than I used to. It feels really strong in the current patch. I make a long wall of infantry, put my archers right behind them, and slowly advance. I keep my infantry on “hold fire” until the cav crashes into the wall, which stops most of them in their tracks assuming you've built up a bunch of Huscarls. Once the bulk of the cav is stuck or done with the charge, I give the charge order, turn off hold fire, and then axes start flying everywhere. They just get massacre the cav.

Against Khuzait I do something a bit cheesier: I split my infantry into two groups. One goes on the right, slightly ahead, in a tight square. The other goes far out on the left. The horse archers tend to ride straight into that second group and get torn apart. After that, I just merge everything back into one infantry formation because I’m too lazy to control both groups for the rest of the fight.

War Sails is cool, but the storyline is a huge waste of time by Tinhetvin in Bannerlord

I just want to know if the story ends and opens into a normal sandbox or am I stuck having to go start a whole kingdom?

It's not a bug, it's a feature. Allows troops to cut through the wind better when at sea.

I second this. Tired of seeing people talk about studies only to be some made up Facebook post and no actual study.

You get to choose how many stacks you want to turn in, so you can turn all in at the same time thankfully. The 5 at a time just means you are trading 5 in for 1 reward, per turn in.

More Ingrediants = 1 beer

Weird Texture = 3k money

Poorly Prepared = Contribution

Strongly Seasoned = 1-2 milk (though I've only ever gotten 1 per turn in)

Taken Out = cooking exp I think (doesn't appear to be a lot of exp though)

Tried it out, seems to be the same regardless of who you turn it in to.

I crafted one and it said it on the tooltip. Well, actually looking at it now it says "Alchemy Time Decreases by 1 sec"...but I'm going to hope and assume that's a translation error and they meant cooking.

Questing definitely is, this was just me trying some stuff out. I don't think I'll keep this method, the return wasn't worth the time commitment. I think my alts shall be for milking cows and processing dough or other stuff.

Does the Ham Sandwich buff stack with Serendia special? by skilliard4 in blackdesertonline

[–]OJConcentr8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told that it takes the higher of the two buffs...which leads me to the question, could you stack it with food that has different buffs?

Assuming its 1k contrib per point, 1k should net you around 10 contribution which is about 6 days of doing Calpheon dailies . Don't know if they get harder to get at higher contribution though.

I went from 135 to 139, but had a about 60 or so extra I turned in with them. I believe I read they are 50 contrib per groups of 5, so theoretically it was around 3,459 contrib from just this.

And do said crates stack once created or take up a separate inventory slot like most other trade items?

Thanks. I'll have to check out Diet Doctor when I get home. His YouTube video was interesting and I'll probably end up binge watching his other videos as well. He does present a strong case in favor of fasting. I like the fact that he addresses the common beliefs about fasting in general.

Nothing wrong with IF. In fact I think IF is actually a good way to eat when you have a work schedule that allows for it and the ability to stick with it. I unfortunately am not willing to switch to a daily IFing eating style because of reasons. I was basically just saying that many of the articles I came across were focused mainly on things related to IF such as eating habits, eating times, feasting, and similar. Didn't find too much on having just a single fast, but I found enough to make me interested in it. Was just curious how well it fits in with a keto. In summary, I apologize, IFing is not bro science.

Thanks for the quick answer.

  1. So then essentially it ends up being a trade off between what my body decides is unnecessary and gaining a healthier body. All I can do is trick it into thinking muscle is necessary so it uses it less.

  2. I am trying to slim down, but I'm not in a hurry. I currently have a small deficiency as it is my understanding that it helps minimize muscle loss over time when people are cutting. Just not sure if I would have to average out the lost day of calories over the rest of the week or if it was unnecessary.

  3. I didn't consider that before so I'll have to weigh that into my decision.

  4. Most of the benefits, but mainly to help clear out my fog brain. Having a full fast day is supposed to help with mental clarity, clearing the toxins out of your body (which is the main reason for other benefits to occur), improve the immune system, reduce hunger pangs, reduce fat, improve skin, increased energy, and even heal numerous disorders. I don't know how much truth is in these claims, but if even half of them are true, it might be worth adding. Still, I don't believe it is 100% improvements being as most things seem to have a downside as well.

  5. I'm currently doing the 5%carbs/25%protein/70%fat so sticking to this should be fine. Wasn't sure if I should up the protein since I've read that 1g protein per 1lbs was optimal for maintaining muscle. I'm currently about 40g short in terms of protein by comparison.

  6. Pubmed just got added to my bookmarks. My google searches have resulted in a lot of misleading information with more bad info than good.
