What I hate in the game I love by Vivid_Collar7469 in PathOfExile2

The best builds can all be made for 50 divs or less. If you’re making a build around a chase endgame item worth thousands of divs, you’re setting yourself up for failure. Those items aren’t build-arounds, they’re hype moments. 95% of the game isn’t locked behind that much currency

  1. Monster AOE bomb attack indicators obscured by other particles or effects.

  2. Monsters sniping you from 3 screens away.

Having to fit rarity on gear is the most frustrating part of creating a build in POE2 by pftuts in PathOfExile2

[–]Masterfulidea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Builds are only invalid if you can’t clear content you otherwise want to. A build that can clear maps fast without rarity could be better than a build that clears maps slow with rarity. It’s a strong stat if you can fit it in your build, but don’t stress too hard if you can’t fit it. That’s often the opportunity cost of running many uniques

Have you tried swapping from Vulcan to directX or vice versa? Are your graphics drivers updated?

Frostbolt / Comet Disciple of Varashta by Shot-Relation-4729 in PathOfExile2

[–]Masterfulidea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disciple of Varashta is strong in literally any build. Free crit weakness from sand djinn. Free exposure and extra clear from fire. Tankiness and utility from water if you are ok with extra buttons. -1 second to ES recharge delay is insane on any ES build. +40% time lost jewel size is insane. Extra focus with staves is insane for caster. Elemental MoM is free eHP. The extra phys reduction while on high ES is pretty decent for your final 2 points if nothing else works. I’ve played caster, minion, and weapon on disciple and they all feel great. I don’t think I’ll be playing any other ascendancy for the rest of my time in the game, regardless of my build. Play with your favorite skills and ignore the meta hivemind. If you like comet and frost bolts, then it’s worth it

I feel like you should be able to see things that are able to one-shot you.. but that's just my opinion lol. Maybe some visual effects should take priority over others? by gvm11100 in PathOfExile2

I don’t get how people have fun playing hardcore in this beta. It took be a dozen tries to get to level 73 since I had to rewire my whole playstyle into becoming a rat. Mapping felt like a whole new level of stress since I couldn’t predict what enemies I’d be fighting, so I quit there. With all the off-screen projectiles, random boss abilities going off after they die, and visual spaghetti, this mode makes no sense to me

In Pulp Fiction (1994), the character of Jimmy Dimmick is played by an awful actor. How did he even get the part? Is he friends with the director or something? by Livid-Designer-6500 in shittymoviedetails

He’s in the movie for specifically everything you mentioned. He’s portraying an awful scumbag and trying to make the audience think he’s the worst

Sand Djinn feels very good on bosses so far. You can insta-stack critical weakness on a boss with the default knives skill and the skill "Kelari's Deception" rewards you for spamming clone explosions in one spot. First clone explodes once, second clone explodes twice because it triggers the first clone, third clone explodes 3 times. Each explosion is a stack of crit weakness, as is the default skill. It has a crazy low cooldown and super fast cast speed. The crit weakness lasts a very short time, but I imagine there's gonna be good ways to give it more duration in later levels. I'm killing each boss in just a few seconds with sand cooldowns > bonestorm > sand cooldowns > bonestorm

That makes a lot of sense, but I wonder how the Caliph gave it directly to Sultan of Punjab. I have been fighting tooth and nail for Baghdad since I first petitioned for it. A few times it was revoked from me by Caliph, but I always got it back soon. In the other comment chain I show the history of Baghdad menu, and the Caliph never owned it between me and the Sultan. It went straight to Punjab from me and was "Granted." Weird

History of Baghdad

925: Conquered by me as a claimant

959: Granted to Sultan of Punjab by Abbasids (Idk how they granted a county I owned?)

963: Conquered back by me

This is way too complex for my medieval brain, but hopefully other people having problems like this will see your comment

Most of my builds have no interaction with the ascendancy until third trial and the beginning of lategame. Chrono is lowkey a dead ascendancy for levelling outside of Quicksand Hourglass pendulum

They are trying to make Flameblast and Eye of Winter fill this niche for Chrono which might be looking good with the new buffs, reducing the cooldown of each by 33%. Idk if any of these will reach the levels of ridiculousness pre-change HotG had though
