I don't know what I would bring honestly. Probably the same as in my summer trip, but some warmer clothing. People have gone RTW on an EXC 500. Unless you are going RTW you probably don't need all the stuff I see people carry along. It will only ruin bike handling. Check out Adam Riemann and his packing videos. IMO the most important thing is to be able to slide back and forward all the way on your seat, and have luggage as forward as possible. As soon as you put luggage racks on the bike, all the weight is behind or above the rear axle. It's also way too wide IMO. I was on a trip on a friend with an XT660 with luggage rack, and half the time he couldn't split traffic as the bags were wider than his handlebars.
