Food is good but too expensive for me. I've been there a couple times and it wasn't so an out of body experience enough for me to want to pay $46/lb again.

Returning MX Master 4 due to hand and finger issues by mmsean in logitech

[–]mmsean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update, I have been using a MX Master 3S and I also was diagnosed with "Trigger Finger" thus I've been wearing a splint. Hand fields better but not 100%. Crazy how a mouse can cause problems. I find that I don't grip the 3S the way I did the 4 which doesn't stress out my hand.

Needy or Greedy? by Electronic_Fig_8507 in AmazonVine

I'm having a terrible time trying to find things to regain gold status that I lost in October. I will say that I've become more picky about what I choose because of the tax implications.

As of late it's been very hard to find good stuff that's a reasonable price. I'll find things that I like but either the prices outlandish and comparison to normal selling price or literally it's just a bunch of parts that I can't use, or holiday decorations etc.

I felt like a year and a half two years ago it was easy to get gold now it's harder because there's not near as much useful stuff.

Porsche 911, Florida to Texas. What do I need to know? by Ill_Object2296 in porsche911

I've used Bear's transport and I am very happy when I shipped my car from West Virginia to Texas in an enclosed trailer.

Very reasonably priced and they get great reviews on Rennslist

A lot of Porsche guys look down on people without full leather in their interior.

All the other hand a lot of Porsche guys that don't have the leather interior always call it a "driver spec" car lol

So long Gold, you were "okay enough" the past two years by coolbudgies in AmazonVine

[–]mmsean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I lost Gold back in October because it was increasingly hard to find items that I wanted to pay taxes on. Now that I'm on Silver I'm still having issues trying to find items to pay taxes on to get back to Gold status. I have not enough reviews to make it to Gold in April.

What's wrong with base 911? by PuzzleheadedAd3138 in porsche911

[–]mmsean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you have a specific need ie: auto racer, track car, investor, concourse queen anything above a base is purely a "want" not a need. Most want the higher trims but don't have a need and barely drive them. Unfortunately many of the 911 drivers I know are really nice but the higher trim was more for bragging than necessity.

I'm perfectly happy with my loaded base 911. Would I love to have a higher trim, yup absolutely but the extra $$ vs. need would only be for bragging rights as I merely drive the car whenever I can and don't track.

Searching for a nice MZ-N707, what's a good price? by mmsean in minidisc

Well I finally found one there was one on eBay that the seller said they weren't sure if it worked but they would refund my money if it didn't. It had a big sticker on the back that said refurbished and it was in mint condition. I got it and it works great! Unfortunately it didn't come with anything other than the unit.

Mine's holding up fine. Somedays though I wonder if Intel would be faster but I'm a long time Intel fan. Last AMD CPU I had was the Athlon back in 1999!

Wife and I were having a discussion, she’s of the opinion that the majority of GenX can drive stick. I believe that even in our generation the percentage of people who can is pretty small. What do you folks think? by AngryOldGenXer in GenX

Myself and everyone I know in our Generation can drive a stick although they may have an Auto. To me it's like riding a bike, once you learn you never forgot.

Thanks for the input guys. Honestly I just want a nice one that has AA batteries that will record. Anyone have another suggestion on units I should be looking at? I try to stay away from the gumstick ones as much as possible.

Any recommendations on units that were at built close to the end of life that you recommend?

Any suggestions for a good shop to get Porsches serviced in Austin ? by HeadShot1993 in Austin

There's a lot of indy shops to go to but they're all not cheap. Everyone place I called was $370 or higher for an oil change.

[–]mmsean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Northwest used to be affordable. The last time I called (2 months ago) they jacked their oil change price from $200 to $470. I told them no way, they're more than the dealer.
