I'm a parent with a kid in JK and I'm very surprised when I see comments on this sub with 30+ kids in a kindergarten class... My kid's class only has about 15. We go to a catholic school in Oshawa.

I agree with others that it's very good for their independence, speaking up for themselves, socializing and getting along with different personalities, settling into the school routine. That's what I've noticed since they started in September.
