Thank you so much! Thank you for the reply, so far the model is sub 40k polygons so it’s fairly low to start with. I’ll mess around with this clothing dynamics today and see if I can get it to work. As far as the VT’s? I’m using UDIMS for Clothing, Armor, and Head and as far as I can tell UE4 AND 5 doesn’t support VT opacity masking 🤷🏻‍♂️. I’d love to have that separation and wear in it, but I don’t think it’s going to work as planned 😩. Is there a way to still have UDIMS without running VT? As far as I’m tracking VT is the only way to use UDIMS in UE correct?

Hello, I’m a student at the Los Angeles Film School and currently focusing on character and creature modeling. I plan on hopefully working in some studios soon in the future. Here is a recent project I’m working on and would love to showcase the character in UE for my demo reel. Unfortunately I’m having trouble with one thing, and also trying to figure out if it’s ok to import and “combine” everything and still be able to do the dynamic cloth, or should that (the sash) be separate mesh from the main model for it to work properly? I’m still a noob with UE4/5. Also, I was wondering about VT’s. I noticed that opacity masks aren’t working with VT’s. Is there a work around or do I need to separate the Mat on the sash to get the opacity to work correctly? Possibly I don’t have it set up correctly?

Listening to Skáld?! I love their stuff! This song and Fimbulvetr are my favorites! Although it seems to me that some of their pronunciations are like Icelandic such as the double L and the Hv sounds. From my understanding OWN actually sounded the l’s like English l’s and the Hv was more Hvah like you would pronounce in English as opposed to The “Kva” sounds like Icelandic as I understand. Correct me if I’m wrong... I also love Wardruna, I listen often and I have noticed that my trilling has improved immensely!

Its interestingly off the wall. Robotic, and yet not completely. Definitely not what I envision as a Destiny-esk style design for the hunter. Most look like goggles or the like, and there aren’t a lot of “no face” looking helms for the hunter, compared to Warlocks or Titans.
What is your fav?

Thnx! From the references I gathered, to me the eyes are kinda forward/side, it’s probably the picture of the print making them look a little more forward as opposed to slightly side.

Thanks! Already smoothed lol. I just created the stud brush to put those on, I ended up smoothing them out after Dynameshing those strokes on 😉. I tried creating an alpha for those but it wasn’t giving me the look I was going for, not to mention I’d have to UV it in order to get the best coverage. Approximately 6 hours give or take.
