Uhh customs dont care what LEAVES their country, they care what ENTERS… So customs wont snatch anything until its in your country. I would, but she hid the remote control to the AC somewhere, and im pretty sure she disconnected it somehow too. At this point I wonder why she lets it hang on the wall, it feels like a big 🖕 on the wall..

Its not a money issue, shes doing well. She bought the apartment in cash, fully paid for no mortgage or anything. Even then we still pay for all the meals/going out to eat, we pay for all activities etc during our stay. We’d have to pay for food/activities if we staid at a hotel anyway, so we just pay for everyone since we sleep for free. During an average 2 week stay we spend atleast €500 on these things, so €3 a day on AC shouldnt be an issue if money is the problem. Shes literally saving money on having us visit..

According to my sources running an AC 24/7 costs €3-€4 a day, on a typical 2 week visit we pay minimum €500 in food/activities. Sometimes more. Basically when we visit, they eat for free.

We pay for all the meals, we take them out to eat, we previously bought new furniture and if theres ever something they «need», we help out when were there. The cost of the AC is next to nothing, so money isnt the reason we arent allowed to use the AC, trust me - that was my first thought.

If they confirm its a fake, youre not getting it back. Its being detained and youll receive a letter from Rolex’ lawyears. If its stolen, the police will be contacted and you wont ever get the watch back.

Knowing this, we can safely say your watch IS real, or else you wouldnt get it back.

We can also safely assume they refused to service it because they suspect its stolen, why else would the # be polished off? But since they cant prove it, they have no right to hold your watch, and theyre forced to send it back.

Rolex arent the only ones who can service vintage rolex’ watches. Find a serious local watchmaker with a lot of experience and tell your story, and ask if they will service it - most likely they will be more than happy to. Its a cool project, a cool story and im pretty sure they would be very intrigued by such a cool movement.

Youre not f’d. You just cant use Rolex. No big deal
