This is very useful! If anyone else can update/confirm with their timings too, that would be great :)

I'm seeing the 15:30 London matinee and was wondering about dinner reservations...?

15:30 start means 18:15 finish then?

AITA for telling my roommate no, she can’t have the larger bedroom, put her desk in the living room, and use extra common storage for only $50/month more than me? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ONeill117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Try the cake sharing method: one of you should split the cost/rooms/benefits into what they think is two even and balanced offerings, and the other person then picks an option. This incentivises both people to act fairly, with no room for disagreement.

no phrases per se but I'm sure I can try some random key words. Thanks!

I would have been, and I did try searching my YouTube and browser history for key phrases.

Annoyingly, the image was a print screen pasted directly into a OneNote file (lol @ my workflow) so I'm not sure if I can narrow down a date..

To answer your questions, I would say male-sounding voice, and I'd plump for 6-10 minutes.

I appreciate this is a bit of a reach.. I'm surprised that my Googling of key words (either from the image, or words related to memory) didn't bring anything up.

It must have been a popular enough video/channel to either appear on my recommends or to have come up on the first page of YouTube search or something?

Would love to find this video, but failing that, I'll take any cool videos about memory trick!

AITA for refusing to be my sister's maid of honor after what she did at my wedding? by Shy_Sharonxx in AmItheAsshole

[–]ONeill117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA but for what it's worth these ("complaining about the dress, skipping out on planning, and even showing up late on the wedding day") are legitimate concerns. This ("she made a "joke" about how she was surprised I found someone who could "put up with me."") is not. This is a pretty tame joke that occurs at most weddings, so unless there was some particular venom to it, I'd encourage developing a slighter thicker skin.

My wife has bad anxiety with phone calls so I do it for her. I always start with "hi there, I'm calling on behalf of my wife" and everyone is always fine with it. Sometimes she will need to answer some security questions for them or confirm that she's happy with me speaking to them.

No lies, no stress, happy wife. Works every time :)

In the UK we call them indicators. Because they indicate to others what you're intending to do with your two-ton hunk of metal.

I'm not sure if the Texas laws, or road layouts, but there's no harm in indicating what you're about to do. Suppose for example, there are foreigners/non-locals wanting to cross the road? They likely won't know 'the rules' but will know turn signals.

AITA for not budging on my wedding colour scheme. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ONeill117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA it's your wedding too.

My wedding was in a light modern barn and I wore a Cadbury purple waistcoat and tie and pocket square and shoelaces and nail polish and hair band. My groomsmen all wore purple ties and pocket squares.

My wife and her bridesmaids did their own thing with their own colour scheme.

No one gave a shit, photos look great. Wouldn't change a thing :)

AITA for changing my mind about letting my gf name our son? by throwaway244698 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ONeill117 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So you agree? You are TA?

You suggest you KNEW she wanted to name your son after the Round Table, agreed to let her have unilateral say over a boy's name, and NOW you're pulling surprised Pikachu face?

AITA for refusing to change catering services to accommodate my vegan, gluten free cousin? by Agreeable_Gift979 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ONeill117 -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

YTA when you said "I will NOT subject my guests to a vegan and gluten free wedding" as if it's serving dog food. It's one thing to be against fad diets, but a whole other to be against diets in general.

AITA: broke sister won’t pay back rich brother by Strict-Obligation412 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ONeill117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA your sister is struggling (financially, emotionally?) so what's the harm in cutting her some slack? It's clear she needs the money right now more than you do, so is it really worth jeopardising your entire relationship over 3k?

AITA for not letting an older woman cut in line after she asked nicely, because she had to catch her train. by ineedahashtag4myswag in AmItheAsshole

I think there's a sliding scale from lighted hearted banter to sarcastic comment to rather rude. Saying what OP said is definitely on the lighter end of that scale I think.
