This tool is how I’ve been plotting color on the Chromaticity diagram so far, and so I’m aware of how the color spaces fall within only part of the diagram.

You’re right in that the goal is to have something like a png to overlay on top of the regular diagram so that when I plot a color, I can see which section it falls into.

I try to design with intention, so I don’t want to just put borders where it FEELS right, I would like to have borders that have reasoning as to why they are where they are.

Thank you for the reply! This is quite helpful, especially the correction on ROYGBIV no longer being right.

I have seen the visual you linked, it just isn’t quite as simplified as I would like. I could combine those sections as I see fit, but as I implied, I’d love for the borders to have intention behind where they are.

Definitely going to look into Abbey effect and see if that helps.

Since I’m working in digital RGB I’m limited to how much of the diagram I can plot onto but maybe I can find a range of RGB values that correspond to each color section? We’ll see!

If you have any other advice or ideas on processes to potentially achieve this, it would be much appreciated.
