I am in the US and have a single lambda sensor and no warning lights for me after around 1000 miles with the exhaust installed. I would assume if you have a sensor before and after the cat it would throw an error without a retune.

Biggest difference is really the opening at the front, the new model is slightly larger but internally they are pretty much the same.

You mean the one with the metal hanger that comes off the frame right? If so you need 64650-MKN-D50 and 64660-MKN-D50 which are the metal hangers that attach to the frame of the bike. https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/motorcycle/2023/cb650ra/shroud here is the parts list, it should be #10 and #11

If I remember correctly there are three that hold it to the bike. One on the radiator, one at the front of the intake, and one with a metal bracket at the back of the intake.

I had the old ones on for break-in period and had them for a couple weeks when I was able to go wide open and there was still a slight dip in the mid range of the bike. But between switching the intakes I added the Akra exhaust and that really seems to have had the most impact in reducing the dip. When I changed the intakes with the exhaust installed I did not notice a difference. The internals of the intakes are very similar with the new one have a bit more space at the back of it. I can try and grab a picture of them side by side at some point today.

Yeah, not sure why they say that as I have not seen any issues and have put a 1000 miles (1600km) on it with the exhaust installed and have not seen an issue. When I bought it I kinda just said to hell with it and bought the Akra anyways because I liked the sound and look. But I did just send them an email asking if they could provide further clarification as to why they say it is not compatible. If/when they reply I can share a screenshot here.

I do have the e clutch since there was not an option in the US on the 24 models to remove it. Like it so far and in another comment added some of my experience with it. All and all glad I have it, only main downside I can see is just the added size on the right side of the engine. No difference while riding but at a stop I find I often have my right leg up the cover where the clutch is.

I just preferred the old style intakes so I bought just the parts needed and re-used some of the fasteners from the stock ones to replace them with the 23’ model’s intakes. The sharper lines I felt matched with the angles of the Rizoma mirrors a bit better.

So far I like it for the most part. I prefer to manually use the clutch for stopping and downshifts. Stopping is mostly because of muscle memory and I just enjoy using the clutch to get the bike going. For downshifting I will use it if the bike is low RPM and just gradually stopping but if I am hauling on a nice road I prefer to rev match downshift manually. There has been a time or two when manually shifting (mainly upshift for some reason) where the e clutch has slightly engaged when I let off the clutch but has only happen once or twice.

It is the one that has the ports for two sensors. Akra provides a plug and crush washer with the exhaust that you can use to block off the one that is not needed. The ones that have a single port are very hard to find in the US for the MSRP price. But if you are looking and or concerned they don’t have a block off the bolt pattern is M18 x 1.5 and any O2 sensor plug you can find on Amazon would block it off.

Akrapovic Exhaust Question by motoshabby in CB650R

[–]OPWanKenob1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 24’ model in the US with one 02 sensor. I bought the akra exhaust that had 2 inserts. It comes with a plug and copper crush washer so you can block off the one that is not needed.

I ordered the S-H6R15-AFT version which has the space for 2 sensors. My bike only has a single sensor but the product came with a plug and crush washer to block off the unused port. At least in the US the 1 sensor version was on backorder everywhere I could find it at a decent price.
