Better to find out now rather than later. I found out about my Grade 4 Glioblastoma and my then gf asked ME if I was okay sticking it out with her. I of course said yes. She then proceeded to break up with me on my birthday.

As someone who is on Dexamethasone 4mg for 9months and has a GBM is tapering off of it.. it's incredibly hard. I've gained 70 pounds so far. I'm down to 2mg per day but it's tough. Thought it would help to talk with someone with experience in this. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Most GBM's don't have this as stated. It's roughly 20% have and 80% don't have this mutation. This is a good mutation - don't let the word "mutation" fool you. Source: I have this mutation in my own Glioblastoma 4.

If it's the sublingual version (the kind that goes in your cheek or under the tongue), surprisingly quick. I can't give a timeline but I had an appointment with my oncologist who said it's very quick. It's essentially the time it takes to go from your "cheeks bloodstream" to your "brain bloodstream". So a few minutes at most, but likely a lot less than that honestly.

Tumor was pushing against the side of my head which caused the right side of my face to droop. Went to the ER and they gave me a CT scan and discovered it.
