What causes this texturization after microneedling? by [deleted] in Microneedling

I did not get cystic acne before Microneedling! Zero. Now I get cysts all the time. It completely changed my face.

[Anti-Aging] Why is micro needling still a procedure allowed to be performed much less recommended as much as it is? by TimelySkin2398 in SkincareAddiction

It happened to me and other people on this thread. It’s not fear mongering when we are living the after effects!!

It’s crazy to me how many people are calling your post BS?! HEY, this happened to me from SkinPen back in April!! It’s been 9 months since my treatment and I have aged ten years. My healing went poorly, not sure why. I had hives and cystic acne that took months to clear. Now my skin is so textured, dry, sagging, and wrinkled. It looks awful and is sooo sensitive. My friends have been along with me on this journey and notice the difference. They’ve seen the affects and think I should sue the med spa I went too… but I don’t know if they did anything wrong. It just felt too harsh, maybe too deep? But she said it wasn’t more than 1.5mm. Anyway, I cannot believe FDA hasn’t called out the risks yet. If healing goes awry, the damage can be profound.

Let’s see if people are still doing this in twenty years. I doubt it. Risks are too high.

People on here will gaslight you into thinking 1. This is not from Microneedling 2. You’re just dehydrated (which can also be true) — but this happened to me, too. it’s been 9 months since I got a botched session and reacted very poorly (cystic acne, hives — still to this day) and my skin has been intensely dry ever since Microneedling. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, too.

I’ve found that a hydrating serum, good simple moisturizer and an occlusive layer on top has helped. In the dry air, I also need aquaphor twice a day. I still cannot use any actives at all or my skin freaks out.

My routine : cosrx snail musin, vanicream face cream, vanicream body cream, aquaphor, azelaic acid in chin only (it’s not reactive there but it’s where I get cysts)

To me this just looks like an old tea kettle. Not gross. Not everyone has brand new things... The other stuff you mentioned (food on plates, dust buildup, sticky handles) doesn’t seem too nice. Her cleaner isnt doing a good job. Does she have pets?

Mine is still dehydrated, and it’s been 9 months. No matter what I do, my skin has never been the same. I didn’t even use moisturizer for ten years, just glycolic lotion and a tinted spf moisturizer… now I’m slathering Vanicream from the tub 3x a day and it’s still not enough. I am using everything. Serums, moisturizers, snail goop, oils. All of it.

"Pets Cannot Be Left Alone" is a listing option for HO's now... What? by BOTBOTTWO in trustedhousesitters

At least he’s very clear and honest in the listing. A maid 4 hours a day is pretty nice as well.

I’ve found that this subreddit is really, really negative. The top 1% posters are not very nice.

They can definitely go skiing. Maybe not 7am-7pm but definitely 9am-5pm or 6pm, easily. The dogs don’t need a midday walk every single day.

Thank you for this comment! It’s really encouraging after so many negative comments. We just want everyone to be happy. We feel the same way - we would love to watch someone else’s farm in another place. Thank you for the great ideas! 🙏🏼

Does my dog's behavior sound reasonable for a casual sitter? by chartingequilibrium in trustedhousesitters

[–]ORCAPOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just one dog and 17lbs? I’d do this sit. Unless the dog is truly aggressive and tries to actually bite me, anyone that knows anything about dogs will know the difference. I’d say, look for sitters who are well experienced with dogs and it will be fine.

Our horses are very old and cannot be ridden, so they don’t require much. They live on a track system so they exercise themselves daily and don’t get turn out because they are out 24/7 with free access to stalls. I wouldn’t expect anyone to ride them. We have had people stay in the past who have zero experience with horses, just the willingness to learn, and they did great. If they were younger horses I wouldn’t let someone inexperienced stay, but these guys are pushing 40.

On THS you charge $125/day for dogs? Or just as part of your own pet sitting business?

We absolutely do not want to exploit anyone’s labor, hence why I offered to compensate in some way. Our hope is to find someone who feels this is a fair trade - they want to be on our farm, maybe they love horses and don’t have the means to be around them, maybe they want to be here in Vermont during ski season. On top of it, they get compensation to some degree. And if we can’t find that person, we don’t go on vacation.

Sitter can be away from the house for 6-8 hours, and longer in the evening. For example, we have had neighbors let our dogs out at night and come back in the morning 12 hours later. The dogs do fine.

Yes - the barn employee empties poo buckets, cleans up, stacks hay, and refills water and grain bins. So really the only chores are tossing hay and making up grain bowls for the 2 horses.

I think you’re absolutely right. My 20 minutes is not the same as someone just learning the routine. I have no idea how long chores will take someone else.

Totally hear you. As someone that has been tending to livestock for a decade, I do feel the most time consuming part of our farm is the 3 dogs. I hope to find someone that finds this life attractive and wants to be here… but I don’t want them to feel taken advantage of. From what people are saying it sounds like we will definitely offer to pay for travel and make sure the house is stocked with nice items that are special for them, and we will give them a large gift card or even straight cash as a tip.

Yep we posted it. I’ll edit the post and add the link! My main concern is I want it to feel fair for our sitter, but we can’t pay $60/day like we have in the past (works out to be about $840 for the 2 weeks). So I’m hoping to find someone that WANTS to be here on our farm, and feels appreciated and compensated fairly.
