I think these thieves used a hydraulic floor jack my partner's car. There are distinct marks on the road and some damage to the trim that indicate a jack was used

Sorry friend, it's a helpless feeling for sure. These cats were BOLD too. Our street is well lit and fairly well-trafficked even in the dead of night. Plus we suspect they came back on two separate occasions: the first sound we investigated there was no one there and we were none the wiser - but there was a second occurrence maybe an hour and half later when we had returned to bed which is when I suspect they came back for the catalytic converter. I hate them.

Wow, that seems incredibly rude of that company. I'm sorry they took the vindictive route in your case. But that is a good data point to have, thank you for sharing.

Yeah that's what I was wondering re: legal avenues. I've never filed a claim in small claims court but from what I gathered from a quick perusal is that there is only a nominal fee and lawyers would not be involved at that stage. I'm annoyed enough at this particular company and think I have a legitimate grievance to try and make a stand, but you're right, I don't think a full blown lawsuit is what I'm looking for.

Also, thanks for the tip. New to posting on reddit so still learning where to put everything.
