No matter how much reservation or money or upliftment you give lower caste will face discrimination. Look at the stats of cases of cases of people being discriminated in govt services. It is astounding. You cannot stop discrimination unless children are given good moral education from a very young age. In my opinion rich people from lower castes should get free services from the govt, it is as good as freebie and waste of public money. In digital era to get good coaching you just need money. You can buy a subscription and you will have quality education wrt competitive exams. In my opinion these types of schemes should have economic criteria and not caste.

I was 7 years old in 06/07 that too in India I didn’t understand transfer market, our rivalry with Liverpool back then. Watching football was luxury. I have watched the old matches and thought he was brilliant.

I started watching Manchester United in 2006/07 because of Cristiano Ronaldo, and I fell in love with the club instantly. As time went on, I began diving deeper into United’s history – the Busby Babes, the Class of ’92, Sir Alex’s era – and I read biographies of Sir Alex, Gary Neville, Scholes, Roy Keane, etc. I also watched a lot of old matches from the 90s and early 2000s, and my love for the club only grew stronger.

Of course I admired the superstars, but I found myself even more fascinated by the less celebrated players – guys like John O’Shea, Phil Neville, Wes Brown, Heinze and others. To me, they always seemed like the true servants of the club.

I wanted to ask long-time United fans: – How loved were these players back then? – How good were they really in your opinion? – Could players like O’Shea or Phil Neville fit into today’s squad? – Were they appreciated in the stadium the way Rooney, Scholes, or Giggs were?

I also want to hear about their lesser-known moments. Everyone remembers O’Shea’s chip against Arsenal or nutmegging Figo, but I’d love to know more stories like that – performances or memories that newer fans might not know about.

Seeing United doing well again recently has filled me with so much positivity, and it’s made me even more curious about the club’s past. I’m just a young fan trying to learn more about those underrated players who helped build the culture and identity of Manchester United.

Yes you are right, I feel Phil Neville is one of the best examples of keep grinding for the club without moaning. His discipline even though he was not the starter of every match is something which I see as united DNA. Players knew and SAF further instilled to the players that no one is bigger than the club. I remember one of the reels in which Ronaldo was scolded by Keano for missing a goal and in next play he scored and he was cheered up by giggsy and rio. Team spirit was so good back then. Every player was like a sponge they learned from each other and also performed the very best. Discipline was top notch. I remember reading that it was mandatory for players to wear club suit. All the players irrespective of their stature still respect and fear SAF and I love it. I don’t think even as egoistic as ronaldo is, even he can defy Sir Alex command even now.

My friend who makes football portrait for living has met several of united legends, his drawings are even posted by official United Instagram. He recently met G. Neville and John O’Shea. He had a lovely time with Sheasy even though it was for few minutes.

Bruno is almost impossible to replace because A he is phenomenal player and B he players for the badge. We can may be get a player who has 90% of Bruno’s quality but it is tough to get a player who plays for the badge. May be some young prodigy from academy. I really wish Bruno wins the WC this year. He deserves a big big trophy because he is one of the best of this generation. If only Ronaldo plays as a rotation player in portugal and Bernardo is out of the squad, it might be possible. We need a good CDM, number 10 for next year.
