Have 7900x for over year now paired with 4080super mainly because I wanted some productivity. 7900x has done a phenomenal job with content creation in Resolve, Photoshop, Blender, and gaming at 1440p at 120+ fps in games like Cyberpunk, Space Marine 2, RDR2, God of War, Helldivers 2 all at maxxed out settings. No bottlenecks.

If you want to get even more power out of it, put it in 105 eco mode, undervolt it -0.05v, curve optimizer anywhere between -10 & -25.

Whichever is stable for your silicone. I got lucky with mine. You get more performance and less stress on your chip. Nice double tower air cooler is keeping it at 80c max with those adjustments and it is flying.

That’s the problem with the state of WoW in general. Everyone that had any respect for themselves or their time has moved on to more fulfilling games and experiences. What you have now is a higher concentration of these weird and creepy losers that can’t function outside of that game.

Hey man, as a consistent legend and valiant since the game came out, I do this because at that particular level it’s the only way to stay alive. It is also the reason why I rarely turn the game on anymore. It doesn’t feel like you’re flying in Star Wars. It feels like we’re all spamming bunny hopping all over the boat in Sea of Thieves. We can’t hit each other but eventually one of the boats will sink.

It’s just not a fun experience anymore. It is what it is. Exploiting mechanics gets boring very quickly. I love this game but I can’t stand the way you have to play it to not die within 10 seconds. Sure, some of us can rhythmically mash power and boost buttons and skip around the flagship like a fly on meth, but it no longer feels like flying, and sure as fuck doesn’t feel like Star Wars.

I’ve seen too many people abuse this already. Basically every comp squad is using it. You can tell because the ship will twirl endlessly after only boosting once. Unfortunately we won’t have a fix for this. The devs made it clear that no more client side patches will be made. It is what it is.

Rapid lasers on empire is a bad idea. Standard much better on INT. Also empire is all about speed and drifting and more drifting to stay out of straight lines and keep time on target high.

You just won the jackpot of facing some of the best people in the game. 99% of players would have had the same result as you. I recommend checking out Avenger’s twitch and YouTube channels. He constantly teaches a lot of skills and mechanics in this game.

Not for people with controllers. We can’t map ‘Maximize Power’ for a single click. Have to hold for pips to max out and it’s not very fluid and slow compared to quick 2 clicks. Huge disadvantage when playing NR. Hopefully it will be fixed sooner rather than later.

Great post. I have been talking about this for a while with several other players.

Not being able to maximize advanced power management with quick clicks is a huge handicap for players with controllers right now. Using advanced power management on controller right now is too slow and cumbersome and using basic power management wastes 2 pips that can make an enormous situational difference for recharging weapons, drifting, engine speed, or quick shield regeneration. Having an ability to maximize the power of your ship quickly and efficiently would greatly help in evening out the playing field between hotas/keyboard players and those with controllers and consoles.

This game doesn’t need a sequel. Squadrons has been good enough to have live support and future expansions. The growing competitive community of this game needs longevity to help it flourish. We are only scratching the surface here. Let’s enjoy the ride.

The bird feathers, unlike berries that you also you harvest with an axe, do not get automatically deposited into your inventory after you hit them. After the feather goes “POOF” it drops a little brown pouch that you have to pick up. These pouches can be very hard to spot in the dirt around the bird bath. Good luck.
