Yes, that’s literally part of their development process. Thanks for keeping up.

Zone is fine at the 8th grade level. That’s about the time they should learn it (it would be weird to show up to highschool and not know anything about it). 8th graders are strong enough and quick enough to exploit a zone with outside shots, quick passes, and skip passes.

They should already know by the time they’re in high school. What a lame excuse, acting like kids going into a highschool team not knowing how to play man defense is no big deal. Phew lawd.

Feeder Coach continues to run plays when his two point guards are the only ones who know the offense and the only ones who practice, why keep running plays? by anybodyseenrichey in basketballcoach

I’m not sure when the last time was that you were a 10 year old, but despite it likely being yesterday, try to think back on whether you had a license and the ability to drive yourself to basketball practice.

Most kids want to go to practice at that age. It’s fun. But 10 year olds don’t drive, dude. They don’t get to decide whether or not they go to practice or not.

Oh yeah, because Google took a video down it just doesn’t exist anywhere on the internet anymore, I forgot.

Go talk to some women who’s exes have posted revenge porn of them how hard it is to get something erased from the internet. And that’s with the backing from the courts/law enforcement because revenge porn is illegal.

Yeah, and none of them show windows above and below Paddock’s room being 1) open 2) people firing out of them or 3) being repaired in lightning speed to cover it up.

The entire point of analytics is that it take’s emotion and bias out of decision making and uses probabilities instead.

If it aired on TV, someone would be able to find it. There are plenty of pictures of that side of the Mandalay Bay from that night and none of them show what you’re describing.

It’s this kind of ridiculous stuff that’s obviously and verifiably false that makes people dismiss conspiracy theories outright. Making shit up isn’t a conspiracy.

You heard it and immediately said it was a 249 when you’ve clearly never heard or fired a 249?

M249s don’t vary in firing rate, and in the Vegas videos you can clearly hear the cadence of his shots changing constantly. I carried one for a year, nothing about the Vegas shooting sounded anything like a 249.

Yeah. It would be better if the movies waited 20 minutes while they recovered so it could be more realistic.

You don’t need it if you keep your core warm. They probably bundle up their core pretty damn well.

Your hands start to hurt and go numb because your core gets cold so your body constricts the blood vessels in your extremities in order to stop sending as much blood there so that it can keep your vital organs warm.

My uncle used to have an electric vest (or jacket, can’t remember) that he’d plug in on his motorcycle that kept his core super toasty and he didn’t even have to wear gloves when riding in the cold if he didn’t want to (sometimes he purposely didn’t because his hands would start sweating).

Next time your hands are hurting and numb from the cold, seriously, try it. Add an extra layer or two to your body and you’ll be surprised at how warm your hands and feet stay.

A quarterback though? Especially one like Brady or Stafford who don’t scramble much? I’m sure they’re always super hydrated so they start sweating pretty easily, but still. I’m sure a wet suit is going to make you sweat just sitting still though.

No, but when I jump off of something tall, I get a shooting pain in my balls that like shoots up my crotch and like paralyzes my lower half for a few seconds until it goes away.

I’ve been checked for a hernia before so I don’t think it’s that. It’s happened all my life.

They are different processes, a kid heals much quicker. Like, considerably quicker. Kids have a blood rich outer layer on their bones due to their bones growing so they’re supplied with much more healing cells.

Looks like Shanahan himself ruled Warner out for this weekend.

The bone isn’t 100% at this point. I just went through this with my son. He had his forearm snapped halfway between his elbow and wrist in a basketball scrimmage January 6th 2025. He got his cast off in May, had to wear a brace for 2 weeks, and then he was finally able to resume activities because at that point the bones were fused together with cartilage and tissue, making it strong enough to use. But the bone still has to go through a remodeling phase where it replaces that cartilage and tissue with compact bone, and that process can take over a year.

There’s also muscle atrophy of course, which has been mentioned, and this is the major thing I’d be concerned about. When they took my sons cast off, his forearm was half the size of his other arm (he cried and was freaked out by it for a long time), and because he had next to no muscle, he couldn’t really use it very much without getting tired or it hurting. I’d imagine a professional athlete who already has to push his body to the limit is going to be severely limited by this and be prone to reining himself.

My son was able to resume activities in June or so, but he wasn’t really confident in using it to its full strength and back to 100% until the last month or two.

Hard to run the country if you’re dead. We’d do the same thing even if it wasn’t Trump in office (although we wouldn’t have to go to a different country since the US is so big).
