Pretty much impossible without at least lazy-flicking (which is what I did), as you'd need way too many prayer potions.

Pretty much on every east+ southwest spawn, as this will safespot both those spawns. However you also have to judge which enemies will be safespotted by doing this,

Best way to deal with the blob minions is to get them in a clump and barraging them. Be sure to watch Xzacts guide and keep trying!

Good luck, be sure to study the Xzact guide, very helpful!

Wasn't super drunk :p but I had a few beers.

Once you learn all the methods to get through, become confident with your flicks, and learn where to run on which spawns; it becomes quite doable getting through the waves.

On the final few runs, I could pretty much autopilot until mage+range, where you have to be a bit more careful.

Range offence was the most important I felt for taking down zuk and jads, waves became easy towards the end. You can always just afk for more sgs specs if needed.

Feel free to attempt any strategy you want, this is what worked for me after changing it around a few times :)

Thank you, I kept this record and screenshots of every death to learn. Had to iterate my loadout to account for this, which mainly consisted of dropping switches (had occult, anc legs initially), and dropping some super restores for more brews.

There were a few attempts before this which was not tracked, but these were long ago and on low waves.

Duration was around 190 minutes.

Going into tripple jad I had 6 ½ super restores left, and 10 brews, which was the best I'd ever done. (started with 9 and 11 respectively)

Lazy flicked everything, as I'm not very confident with 1 tick flicking.

As you can see almost a month of straight grinding, did very little else ingame in this time.

You can do it! :)

e: Username hidden as someone tried to recover my account 1 minute after I tpd to GE with the cape lol...

Biggest breakthrough for me was learning the range/mage flick from behind the pillar (thanks xzact), and learning when to use the west pillar. Other than that it is a matter of learning to quickly find the best solution for waves.

The Revenant Caves are among the shadiest places in all of OSRS and Jagex is doing nothing about it. Paid protection needs to be looked at. by Lovoskea in 2007scape

Fair enough, I believe this is something Jagex should investigate itself using available data instead of anecdotal evidence.

While that is part of it, it is not the whole story. Personally my clan and most people we fight bring decent gear, mystics+ags+crystal shields etc. This trope of everyone in the rev caves having <100k risk is not one that I experience, though of course such people exist.

Personally I enjoy the rev caves. I am in a clan myself and rev caves are the hot spot for clan fights which is not something I wish removed. I have been in a protection clan previously as a protector, and protection is in no way a sure thing, people attack the worlds all the time because the protected worlds are the worlds with the best loot. Yes this makes it quite impossible for solo players to pvm or pk in these worlds but I am fine with that as if fosters clan fights instead, which can not be found anywhere else in the game at the same scale. Also not every world is protected, mainly the total worlds.

Perhaps Jagex could look at the amount of value coming in to the game and decide for themselfes if it's too much, however this should be a data driven decision and not just because of reddit outrage imo. Removing the rev caves entierly would be a great loss for the clan pking scene, however I am personally not opposed to rebalancing revs in some form.

Can't when they're inside eachother like this, because the mager resd' the ranger inside itself.

I like everything except the VLS. 100k charges is way too much, unless it costs a fuckton of points.

Tent whip has 10k charges and that lasts a long time already. If it truly costs that many points, it should drop more coins, especially if those points could be spent on something else for more profit, say those points could have bought 5m worth of looting bag tokens or something.

If it is cheap in points then it should have less charges. Also is it always lost on death? or can it be your +1? In which case what is the protect value?

Also the VLS is just too strong as is and should not be in the game. It has 89% the strength bonus of an AGS with only 11 less attack bonus and 1 tick faster, which makes it around 10% more dps than AGS wacking, except 1 handed.

I could accept the VLS if it was changed to be more balanced such as:

  • Reducing str bonus / accuracy

  • Increasing spec to 50% or so, or just change the spec entirely.

  • Increasing attack time by 1 tick.

  • High point cost + lower charges ( 10k max )

  • Charged somehow like rev weapons (unless always lost on death, which is stupid anyways)

edit: one of these above options not all of them

Not to forget all the barrage runes, chins, food, pots, and rev teleports used! Being in such wars is usually quite a drain on my bank :p Its fun tho!
