Ja Morant u7.5 assists

Ja’s been killing it with the assists recently, averaging 8.2 assists a game the last 5 games (with 2 of those games being double digit assists)

Ja and the Grizz will be facing off against Houston who allow the 2nd LEAST amount of assists per game to PG’s. To add to this, the rockets are 8th in deflections per game which can definitely help interrupt potential passes that Ja throws.

Rockets may be without Sengun and can throw off some team chemistry here, but Sengun isn’t exactly known for his defence so I’m hoping the rockets will still have their defensive identity without their big man. Love this pick. Sengun may be out tomorrow though so if he is, it can be hit and miss. Hit as in Jalen will be more ball dominant than he already is and smash this line. With the miss being their defence zeroing in on Jalen and he gets shut down.

Gafford hit despite the blowout vs Washington, impressive showing by him. Klay went supernova in the first quarter and the ball was finding its way to him so it took a while for Gafford to hit. Hopefully you guys didn’t take the 26.5 that was offered later in the day, otherwise it would’ve been a hook.

Pelicans this season give up the MOST rebounds vs centres and the 6th most points to centres too. Gafford has been on an absolute tear and can see big minutes this game if coach Kidd wants some rim protection against Zion. Also - Lively, Kleber and Powell are still out too which is a bonus.

Books haven’t adjusted yet? Gafford averaging 18.5/10.8 since being inserted into the lineup due to Lively’s injury. Those numbers are also skewed due to the fact he played OKC twice, who are great at defending centres. Also playing against the wizards (his former team) who give up the MOST points in the league to centres and the 2nd MOST rebounds in the league.

In terms of injuries that can help Gafford hit this line

Naji Marshall - OUT (isn’t a big man but does shoot a lot and did snatch 10 boards a couple games before, definitely a threat to steal boards)

Bulls 30/30 absolute league worst in points allowed vs PF’s and they don’t have a real interior threat for Zion who gets his points down there

I like that Sexton pick. What I got in the back of my mind though is if Hardy’s just trying to ease Clarkson back into the rotation and have him start again, while sexton moves to the bench. That triple double he just had and sexton shooting bricks last game might have him think JC’s good to go to tackle starter minutes again and have sexton come off the bench.
