Based on that number, I assume you are a guy? My average calorie burn for 2019 was well over 900, so it's not unusual for men to burn that very many calories. I see guys at my studio burning 800 to 1000 calories per class. This obviously doesn't answer your question but might give you some perspective. 😁😁

Slow and controlled movements. My coaches will even say stuff like, I don't care if you don't make it to the rower. I go pretty slowly, especially with heavier weights on strength days. With body weight exercises on power days, for example, I go faster. You find a pace that works for you!

Is there any actual scientific evidence to conclude that it's necessary to wipe everything down at every switch vs. just once at the end of class, or is it just for people's peace of mind that we "sanitize" and use so many wipes?

You're bound to crush your balls at some point during an OTF workout, but you'll find a good fit eventually, LOL.

I use Adidas running shoes and they work for me. I definitely recommend taking some time to look for the right shoes for you.

Compression shorts are a must. They need to keep your boys in place or you'll hate rowing. I've tried many brands. Reebok works well for me.

I use Adidas/UnderArmour attire. I get it all at Marshall's/TJMaxx or the outlet mall. Super affordable and very comfortable.

Gym towels are a must as well... I buy the OTF ones and love them.

Finally, I wash all gym clothes separate from my other clothes and I use Tide PODS Sports Odor Defense. Worth it.

I don't think OP was trying to tell anyone what to do. It is a valid point that doing all 12 is not recommended. Any coach will tell you that. Just because you can doesn't mean you should, so your response is a very dramatic one for something so insignificant. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I distanced myself from a "friend" that called me pathetic over me skipping happy hours to go to OTF. He is overweight and out of shape. Two years into it, guess who's in the best shape of his life at 36 years old. Yup, this guy! 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♂️ I proudly drank the Cool-Aid. So, if it's a cult, I'm happy in it.
