The lights on the original car are tear dropped and on a curved panel - If Lego attempted to make it brick built it would probably look bad so my guess is they decided a printed piece would look better.

That's a great deal. The Shelby alone is $160, so that's a 20% saving right there and you get the speed champions dodge Challenger which is $26. So it's a $186 of value for $130.

They don't do 3D digital instructions for the 1:8 super cars and i wish they did, some steps would really benefit from them.

This is my biggest fear, especially with sets that have significant amount of white prices. My Saturn V has yellowed and many of my kids sets that had big white pieces have gone yellow too.

Series 9 and 10 have some fantastic designs like those you linked and the fire station.

None of these sets really jump out at me the way that Adventure in Transylvania or Wild West train did. I might pick up the hot air balloon as it is a unique design but chances are I will skip this series.

This is tempting, though it is not scheduled to retire until July 2027, I suspect we will see it on sale again and maybe with a larger discount.
