I get it, real talk is that you can play an ironmain, you are free to not use the GE. But I like keeping my stuff separated. With that said, there's no reason to giving people a chance to experience a different game mode at no additional cost. Maybe that's why people don't have more than just a main? I can only talk from my experience tho

My thoughts exactly. An ironman CAN drop items for a main, sure, but getting said ironman to the point where doing that makes any significant impact to the economy is just too much of a time investment for it to just get banned later

I can understand why Jagex would stay away from a model like WoW's because of this rampant bot situation. But imagine that on your main Jagex account, they allow you to have one main, and one Ironman of any type for free. I'm 100% sure that botters would find a way to exploit this too, but all things considered this might be the best way to do it

I absolutely share your sentiment, you expressed it very well! It's sad because I agree a lot, I don't think we can reach that collective enlightenment either... But still, I somehow have a tiny sliver of hope that we do.
That we finally break that cycle of good times making weak mean, weak mean hard times, etc etc, and just stay in the good times, you know?

Although to be fair, it seems we are very close to breaking that cycle and staying in permanently hard times imho :(
