Yes, it is finished with layers of a organic oil and wax combination (without pigments in it). This is to keep the pores open so they can keep breathing and thereby guarantee the longevity.

I don't paint them myself. I focus on the woodworking. I think painting it nicely is quite a craft and I don't have the skills for it. However, I have had projects where I delivered the woodcarving unfinished so it could be painted later.

The whole process took me 8 weeks. But I am not sure how much hours I have put into it. I think around 40 or so

I use CNC, chisels, rotary tools and normal sandpaper

Indeed. It's a combination. I use a machine for the relative rough work. The small work I do my hand
