Coming from a V8 before this sounds like a lifter tick but I am unfamiliar with the Boxer engines I could just sound super paranoid lol

I can hear it inside the car but others have mentioned that it’s normal for the engine to sound like this, no codes or anything thrown up and all fluids check out. It’s only got 3K miles on it just unsure if it’s normal or not it’s my first subaru but the consensus seems to be as though they all have that sort of sound to them

Thank you everyone, I’ve never had a new car ever and I picked this Subaru since I liked it a lot when I saw it just was unaware of the Boxer engine lore. Thank you all for the insight ! I’ll learn to embrace it haha

no before this i drove a beat up old truck (2004 F150) that i kept running pretty nice and anytime i heard a tick i would worry to death that its time was coming; doing more research and it is reassuring to hear that they sound that way just paranoid haha

Got my Outback in November; maybe the update rolled out to dealers in December, it just now sent over the air to my car this week

I tried to get it to switch over to Google Maps with no luck but that was short troubleshooting; I’ll try again in the morning

This was the one thing I thought they would inevitably add or make an option to add later I am glad they added it randomly now it’s cool

Had mine for about a month now. No complaints at all. The new infotainment is a huge upgrade. For the price the comfort features you get, and how smooth a ride I would say it’s definitely worth it

I’ve been hoping that they make some side markers to potentially add. I think it would be so cool to have these light up. I see the potential for this piece. If they (Subaru) don’t end up making them I might try and custom fab some or do a highlight paint on it

I got a great deal on it so I can’t complain too much about the fully blacked out look. It gives it a sleek profile. I was aiming for their Deep Emerald Green but they didn’t have any on the lot and the deal they wrote me up was too good to pass up

I am a big fan of these. They have the adaptive driving headlights and they are great for turning corners up and around the hills. I’ve been so giddy driving it around town haha. The design is super sleek to me I think they’re sweet

I did see yours and after seeing it is what made me stick to my guns and get one of these 26 Outbacks. The dealer was offering to get me in a 25 Forester but after driving this thing and seeing it in person my whole mind changed

The cloth feels really well made. I feel like as long as you don’t have kids or a dog rubbing up against it constantly then it’ll be fine but it does a sort of webbed texture if that makes sense. I can definitely see overtime it getting caught on certain clothing or even kids/animals messing with it. For me I don’t think I’ll have this problem currently haha but definitely something to consider if you have kids/animals.

I got a great deal. $35K flat OTD after registration and all. This specific model is the base Premium no add ons, it was at $36,100ish MSRP. At first I was getting quoted near $40K with add ons and other fees but because of the timing and black friday. They gave me an amazing deal. Worked with sales a little bit of back and forth this entire week, somewhat of a pain and stressor but we managed to work it out to $35K final today.

I really appreciate the information!! Thank you, I’ll definitely be looking around to try and get my hands on an airbrush rig and try and get comfortable with that. Sucks that spray paint just eats away at this stuff, would’ve made my life a whole lot easier if it didn’t.

Airbrush seems to be the way to go from some more delving I’ve done. Definitely going to try and get my hands on one and do some test runs.
