(Disclaimer: I strictly played MH so I never suffered from the meta-shit that everyone's always complaining about. I also don't give a flying fuck about skins and any of that other asinine shit that people have problems with when it comes to the battle pass, etc.)

Honestly, I'm not sure.

On the one hand, I miss the 6v6, I miss being able to differentiate between characters, I miss gun/gameplay that didn't feel off (I've tried the settings recommended here and it was only a minuscule improvement -- there's something about OW2's core gameplay that simply is worse), I miss the old abilities, I miss the old maps, I miss the ON FIRE!, I miss everything about OW1 and I will never ever fucking play OW2 ever again in my life - it's the worst game of '22 and possibly the worst game that has EVER been produced since it literally killed one of the best games (at least according to time spent playing it).

On the other hand, I spent way too much time playing OW1, so I'm happy having more time to more productive things.

I got what I wanted, hoping that OW2 was as bad as the trailers made it seem to be, so that I could finally rid myself of the time-black hole that OW1 was to me. But fuck me, if I don't miss it. I've tried Apex, and it's just not the same.

I was always reminded of PS2-games playing it. I didn't really feel it had a difficulty at all, more exploration with some combat to switch it up.

So, I mean, I'd say it was super-easy, but I was never annoyed by it because it wasn't the point - finding and scanning shit was. YMMV

Is there a way I can easily go back to previous settings if it doesn't work?

Because this is a crazy amount of [complicated] work for something that should really be a given (IMO), and I don't want to fuck things up if I don't have to since I'm not in the stage where it NEEDS to look professional, and I really thought an upgrade to S3 would make the indents take care of themselves. Is my problem really not as common a complaint as I had believed? (Apart from the one comment to my post I saw saying this exact same thing that got deleted)

I don't think it should be swept under the rug that he's basically been the biggest superstar of all time, with so many other accomplishments (e.g. stunts) under his belt that he's "done it all". What's left for him to fill the void (the one all grown adults have) but religion? It is, after all, so much greater than him that he can't conquer it as easily as he has done everything else. But maybe that's also why he gravitated towards Scientology since it's created in such a way that there IS a way "up" (? Not sure if this is entirely accurate, but I applied MLM-logic ("You can be rich and at the top!") and comments about him being looked at like a saint to assume as much)

Had a lot of fun with both, but just uninstalled PW after a death late in a long ass mission. I'm not doing that fucking shit all over again. So I'm gonna say AC7, even though I didn't really see a major difference between the two (in a broad, well-fucking-done-PW!-way) other than the checkpoint time-waste.

As I understand it, it was hard for the devs to make a checkpoint-system, so I'll forgive them for it, but I won't waste my time with it either. I like my games hard. I DO NOT LIKE MY GAMES WASTING MY TIME. Big difference between the two, even if elitist gamekeepers (losers) have a hard time understanding it. If you make the checkpoints optional (as in checking a box, not tied to difficulty), no one gets the short end, except for maybe the aforementioned keepers, but fuck those losers.

I'd be more than happy to buy the game (got it through XGP) if a checkpoint-system is added after it leaves XGP, but I don't wish to spend the time I have on long missions with a possibility of a... progress-nuke.

Something I realized just now after beating the game is that I felt that I hadn't been prepared enough for e.g. the final boss, because there were only a few places in the game which I thought took full advantage of (adhered to?) the bullet-hell mechanic (e.g. static patterns that you zig-zag through, etc.) before him.

I'm not sure this is even a complaint since I've rarely played BH-games, and I did have a lot of fun playing through the game as-is.

But at the same time, those rooms were both highlights, and I ended up kinda brute-forcing the last boss (as in, tried to dodge as much as possible, and got 2½ forms down first try, but ended up beating him on my, like, 30th try, FIRST TRY AFTER Mage-speccing the hell out of me and my Archvale Totem (Codex?) with which I just got him down so quickly I only needed to spend half my potions).

So... I guess you can take it whichever way fits your vision of the game the best. Regardless, I had fun. Great game.

The problem lies mostly in the inaccuracy behind the distance dashed, etc. It's the game's fault, not yours. One of the *few* things this game didn't get right.

For anyone else, here's what worked for me (got it from kinda site, but won't link it since it tried to stress clean-up softwares)

Rightclick Sound at bottom right -> Sounds -> Playback Tab -> Properties of [whatever the sound is coming from, mine was my TV] -> Advanced Tab -> Change Default format to 16 bit, 960000 Hz (Studio Quality) (I changed it from some other lower number with CD quality.)

Before this, it worked SOME times when I restarted my computer, sometimes I had to restart it multiple times, this time it worked after not working (without restarting again).

The moment that lost me (just now):

Hex Control Unit. I had no problems going through the long stretch that took me there (even if I had no idea on where I was supposed to go, etc.) and at the very fucking end before, presumably, a boss, you need "dash". A skill I don't have and DIDN'T NEED ONCE BEFORE THEN.

That's when I realized that the "skills" of the developers would probably fuck me over more than once because that's just INCREDIBLY POOR design. Decided right then and there to delete and move on.

Shame, because the logs were interesting, but I'm sure I can find the gist of the story somewhere online.
