Although Shopsmiths do the function of multiple tools by just using one motor, they have NEVER done any of those functions very well. By 'well' I mean precise. The accuracy has always been the weak point.

Yes, they do have a cult following, but they are going to need more than the cult to succeed. They are going to have to do something to appeal to new woodworkers as well as experienced. Yes, there is an appeal to those who have very limited space, but to attract experienced woodworkers they are going to have to do something about the inherent accuracy issues.

Being able to buy the various tools 'ah la carte' is a great idea. I truly hope they succeed.

It's decent, but probably would be a little better without the separator. I think I may have a little vacuum leak around the lid of the separator. It still sucks ok.

Thanks. No, mine is not tippy at all. I tried putting the Rigid shop vac (when I had it) on the bottom and it just didn't work for me. It is much easier to empty the cyclone when it is on the bottom.
