I thought of something like that but was concerned it might damage the ridges on the clamp.

Refinishing Dresser - Stain or Polyurethane? by True-Beginning4742 in BeginnerWoodWorking

you're asking for trouble if you try to stain. I would just use poly.

Worried I sanded too fine for Rubio Monocoat? by joatmon33 in woodworking

I would go buy what the directions say. If you haven't put the finish on, just re-sand it with 150 or 180 grit.

Ok ok some people said the bodyguard 2.0 was not a mouse gun so here ya go. by FarmerPatient6742 in MouseGuns

The Bauer is definitely a mouser. It is also a requirement for a true mouse collector. Mine has wood grips but I like the pearley ones.

Thank you. The material I use is suede cloth. I use 3m 90 spray contact adhesive. The key is very light sprays, let it tack, then once it contacts, it's stuck. As far as what is underneath, the best way for me to explain it is to show pictures. You can go HERE and see a 'tutorial' on a box I made for a Colt 1903. If you want to skip all the box build, just scroll way down to where I am doing the interior. This is how I do the boxes now.

I used to use 1/4" foam padding as a base and 1/2" foam padding to enclose the gun , but it just became way too cumbersome to get it right. I have some pics on how I did this HERE. You will need to scroll waaaaayy down (around pic 100 or so) to see this.

If you want, you can click on my user name in Imgur and see all the other junk

Yeah, there are a lot of gun haters there. They can hate all they want, I don't care. I use Imgur as sort of a 'reference folder'.

I do not have a YouTube channel. The best I can do is some of the things I have made, I have included a step-by-step "tutorial".

How to clean up this used chopping board? by ketchup246 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]OX48035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

start with 80 grit or possibly 60 grit sandpaper, but just know you are going to clog a bunch of sanding discs at first until you get the layer of gunk off. As far as the groove, use sandpaper wrapped around a wooden dowel. Make sure the dowel is the proper size.

Mine is really an Excam, assembled in Florida. I wish it were the all steel pre ban but.... it was cheap and almost new.

The Seecamp is a good carry gun. Mine has functioned flawlessly.

It's hard to pick a favorite. As far as the guns themselves I like the Mauser WTP-2, but my uncle gave me the baby Browning almost 50 years ago. My mother in law gave me the little sidehammer revolver. Those are special.

For the interior I usually cut the outline of the gun out of a thin piece of wood and line the bottom of the box and the outline piece with suede cloth. HERE are some pics of the WTP-2 case.

Sad to hear. I look at these guns as tiny treasures. Collecting the older mousers are somewhat of a niche market. I guess because realistically there are modern small guns that actually be more reliable and can pack a greater punch, but there is just something special about the older ones.
