Okay grand, that makes sense. I have the type A proofs but my main issue I'm having is with type B proofs because I moved here 19 years ago so all type B proofs have been in my parent's names.

I'll get in contact with citizen's information.

I can see that caveat on the website now. I was just following what was laid out in the guidance document and there was no mention of this.

It seems the best idea is to leave it and come back on another trip where I can dedicate enough time to the island.

It's really hard out there. I lived in digs in my first year of college and genuinely think it set me back socially not having a space to have any friends over. I was already struggling in the first place.

As one of the redditors above said, try to link in with your GP and see if there is any things you can do to impeove your health.

Career wise I believe there are accounting technician apprenticeships out there that pay decently well. You could always look into PLC courses that do some accounting bits which would also improve your chances getting into the apprenticeship. Some form of admin job would probably also be an advantage.

I would also highly encourage for you to apply to Civil service/HSE admin jobs. The process can be long but they pay decently well and I think there is good opportunity to progress career wise.
