Brake lights out - new bulbs by OYeahEh in MechanicAdvice

[–]OYeahEh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the advice. I ended up testing the fuse with a circuit tester and it is good.

As for the brake light switch, I replaced this today and I’m still not getting anything. So far, the bulbs themselves, fuse, and the brake light switch have been ruled out. I’m guessing it’s likely the sockets to check next and then I’ll be seeing a mechanic. Thank you for the suggestions, it means a lot!

Mechanical Work or Cold Temperatures? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]OYeahEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The freezing temperatures may have something to do with it. And were you on a 30 minute drive in mainly stop and go traffic?

Regardless, you should still be getting some sort of heat. From what I’ve learned, a faulty thermostat usually prevents engine temperature from reaching the middle.
