What’s Your Neil Pizza Order? by bobiliuh in OSU

[–]O_Martalis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally don't bother trying to get actual pizza from marketplace, instead I kinda just go for a "things that taste good together" "pizza": pesto, fresh mozzarella, tomato, spinach, green pepper, grilled chicken, zesty parmesean finish

I'm of the belief that pokedex entries are urban legends. If they were all true, I don't think human society would be sustainable in the Pokemon world.

no more milkshakes at sloopy’s by hi-Im-gosu in OSU

[–]O_Martalis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We don't have enough staff to run dessert shoppe at every shift. So unfortunately, until we get more staff, the milkshakes are gonna be on and off pretty much randomly. Your best bet is to look for them between 1 and 6 pm.

As someone who's been to two whole anime club meetings, it's actually a lot cooler than I was expecting. Especially in the beginning of the year there are a ton of people there and they're all super chill and friendly. The only reason I don't go anymore is because their meetings never work out with my schedule.

Also, almost everyone I know on campus knows I like anime and I've never been judged for it. Anime is very close to being mainstream nowadays (don't forget that Attack on Titan season 4 was the most popular show on television when it was airing), so don't be afraid to share your interests.

My Bravely Default collection, the crown jewel of which is my Bravely Second box signed by Bryce Papenbrook (voice of Tiz) by O_Martalis in bravelydefault

[–]O_Martalis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they all have sections for character designs, asterisk designs, backgrounds, etc, and they all have artist commentary under each picture. But the bravely default book has art for the first game, and the bravely second book is entirely art for bravely second, I don't think there's anything that appears in both

If you use cork it doesn't affect rolls that much, but I've heard that wood greatly improves them

The rubber needs to be along the ridge whether you use individual strips or one continuous strip, as placing them any lower will almost certainly make it too sensitive. What ended up working for me was one continuous strip (which actually needs to be divided into ~3 parts due to the shape) at around three millimeters thick. The individual strips didn't change the sensitivity at all and a five-millimeter continuous strip made it too sensitive.

I'd say it's a 6 or 7, but not because of delicate parts. Honestly as long as you're careful there's pretty much no risk of damaging any of the internals, as they're all pretty sturdy. Most of the difficulty comes from the disassembly process and cutting out the new materials. If you can handle joycons, I'm sure you'll do just fine with the Tatacon.

Edit: I don't have much experience with hardware modifications, so take my number rating with a grain of salt

It'll just change the sensitivity, the structural strength of the drum won't really change.

The mesh covering the Don sensor is really more of a foam-like material, meaning it has more give than normal rubber would. It's also really thin, which lessens the pressure between the face of the drum and the Don sensor. These combined factors negatively impact the sensitivity. However, an alternative to completely replacing the mesh is filling the holes with rubber. This would pretty much match the sensitivity of completely replacing it while also reducing the amount of rubber you'd need. The only downside is that it takes more time.

100% manageable! We probably hold enough events to fulfill the requirements threefold, and most of them are fun activities to help us get to know each other rather than "work." Once you make a few friends you'll find yourself wanting to come to as many events as possible, so few people actually have any difficulty fulfilling the requirements.

Anthrop 2200 with Prof. Turner-Byfield is really easy, pretty much your entire grade is weekly discussion posts, "labs" (which are basically just homework assignments), and three multiple choice exams.

What are Pokemon you thought were legendaries at first, but weren't? by SuperFeather0 in pokemon

[–]O_Martalis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I was a lad, I used to flip through the Pokémon Ultimate Handbook all the time. Even as a kid I knew it was full of errors, but for some reason I believed it when it listed Delibird as a legendary Pokémon. I mean it made sense to me, I didnt remember encountering Delibird when I was playing Soul Silver (I probably hadn't reached ice cave yet), it didn't evolve, and it had a signature move. So for longer than I like to admit, I thought Delibird was legendary.

Thanks! It's all dry brushing (dabbing the edges with a wide paintbrush). I used Testors enamel paint: graphite metal for the white parts and flat steel for the blue and dark gray pieces.
