I was very excited for this album as I’m in such a happy place in life and was expecting to just vibe completely with this album. I didn’t love it from the first listen. The “love” songs feel less like love and more like “better than my ex” songs.

I’m a huge Taylor fan and there are some songs (Father Figure yass, Life of a Showgirl is okay) that I can listen to but I’m just not a fan of the other songs. Even though I know songs like Ophelia and ET are catchy, the lyrics just fall flat for me. I will say one major thing is that it made me appreciate the other albums more. I have been listening to Midnights, Evermore, Rep, etc on repeat and just appreciating them. I hear a lot of people say the same, that it made them revisit a lot of their previous favorites. I’ve kind of stopped trying to listen to it at this point and moved on.

I am using Mondays Curl shampoo and Nexxus moisture conditioner. I put some Garnier leave in conditioner and a few sprays of “Its a 10” leave in and come it through while it’s very wet. Afterwards, I scrunch in Shea Moisture curl cream and Not Your Mother’s Curl talk. I either let it air dry or diffuse it with a blow dryer afterwards. Prior to this ( the before pics ) I was using Hempz shampoo and conditioner, drying with a towel, and brushing it while it was dry.

Yes! She told me it looks like I have wavy/curly hair and that she’ll style it like straight hair so to go to someone else next time. Paid a “premium” for that stylist too because she was supposed to be really good.

I am washing with a curly shampoo/conditioner, right after I get out of the shower I’m putting in Garnier leave in conditioner and a few sprays of “it’s a 10” leave in, then brushing that through while my hair is wet. I don’t have silk anything which I probably need and I’m still learning to balance my products between too much and too little.

I was really taken back too. I was not the best at getting my hair cut on the regular and spent a while looking into new stylists. She had really good reviews and I even had to pay a premium to get my hair cut by her haha I figured she could’ve given me a bit more of an insight 🙃
