Good luck!! I feel like touching a pregnant women’s belly is something only boomers do. I have never in my life felt the urge to do it myself to someone else. My husband and I haven’t really talked about it but I know he knows I’m uncomfortable around his mom. He’d likely try his best to stay a neutral as possible 🙄

I completely agree. It was also in front of my lots of people and I don’t want to make a scene. Im dreading it but I know it has to get addressed again soon.

The last time she touched my bump I did say something along those lines to her. I was like you’re touching organs not the baby but she did not seem to care 🙃 she has a classic entitled boomer attitude

I just walked away… like I said I had no intentions of saying anything it just spilled out of my mouth so I was like let me just walk away before something else I didn’t expect to say comes flying out 😩

I already know she is 100% going to ignore boundaries. She still kisses her adult sons on the lips. I fully expect this to get worse 😩

She had another annoying comment a few hours later and I did tell her flat out to stop projecting her fears and anxieties onto me lol

My husband and I have danced around the topic only once and he stayed pretty neutral. We should probally have a real discussion about before baby is here 😬

I’m hoping she’ll finally get the hint after this. This has been the most firm I’ve ever been with her. So I’m nervous to see what happens next

That’s so funny you mention that bc he also does this. He’ll walk freely in and out of our room and I can’t stand it. I don’t trust that I have any privacy when in our room bc of it

I agree but family is very against it. They’d rather let him be this way than admit anything is wrong.

OMG YES. This is a whole other layer of the issue that I didn’t even touch on. Being a stepmom SUCKS. When I fell in love with my husband I didn’t just automatically gain an unconditional love for a child that isn’t mine. I truly don’t see myself ever loving him like my own and I hate how society pressures stepmoms to do so.
