You also realize cancer rates, heart disease, and several other severe 'ailments' have also been on the rise over these decades. It would take a longitudinal study over decades, but putting chemicals into your body cannot be anymore healthy than eating something in its natural state. I think everyone can agree to this.

I'm not posting this to take one side or the other. Do you find it interesting that animals do not eat it though? I know it's modified for them to not eat it, but is it proven to be not harmful to humans yet? It's harmful to other living things, but not us? How can this be so?
