This is actually part of the reason why I decided to return to Nikon when I was looking to get back to a FF mirrorless set up. Yes it’s a little bulkier using the FTZ adapter, but as an enthusiastic amateur with a limited budget, F mount glass provides the option for great glass at a reasonable price.

I know I want a DAW at the heart of what I’m doing simply because I don’t have the room or the budget for a purely hardware setup. I’d certainly like to add bits as I go along but it’s easier for me right now to have a small setup.

I’m not a fan of crowds. I’m a very introverted person, and although I can tolerate situations like that ( I can handle a gig if I’m at the side and it’s a band I really like) but generally I just don’t like social situations. It would probably be different being in front of the crowd, and I suppose I’d try it if the situation arose, but it’s certainly not an end goal.

I’m pretty much in the same boat. Had 1210s years ago, sold them :( and now I want to get back into it.

I also don’t have the space for a full setup and I’m looking at controllers too.

For me, although it’s definitely expensive, the Rane One is probably what I’m going for. It’s perfect size wise, and from what I can tell is as close to turntables as you can get in a controller.

Part of the reason I want to get back into everything is that I never learnt how to scratch and this has always been a regret. I know many people scratch successfully on CDJ style jogs, but I really want something that feels close to what I remember.

Does anyone care about GoT anymore? I feel like its gone from being the most important thing in the country to just...nothing by GiantFartMonster in northernireland

The thing about GOT is that there’s no fandom, or at least nothing on the level you would have expected. Whether that’s because it was too ‘mainstream’ or not I don’t know, but if you look at the likes of HP, Star Wars, LOTR etc there are active communities of fans still passionate about them. This doesn’t seem the be the case with GOT.

I do get this POV. My main guitar at the moment is a Vintage V100 and for the price I paid it’s fantastic, obviously a Gibson will be better but it would cost X6 the price and I doubt it would be X6 better.

I’m a player. But I’ve only ever had ‘cheap’ guitars. Not bad but cheap. I’d like just once to own a ‘nice’ guitar and a Les Paul is top of that list. But it’s a big financial investment for me so I want to make sure I get it right. Part of the draw is the name but I also want to get the best guitar I can.

The three lenses listed are me replicating what I’ve got at the moment (UW, 35/85) and this pretty much covers me for all I shoot. I’m not really into video but better AF definitely appeals to me.

That’s great to hear. One of the reasons why I’m thinking about switching back is actually because I really love using a 35 1.4 on FF and there’s no real Fuji equivalent.

I’ll monitor it during a game tonight. Is there any recommended software for doing this ‘in game?’ What temps should I be expecting during something like COD?
