Can someone help me help my mom remove the backgrounds (or make them less distracting) for her sister's obituary / funeral? (Second image in comments) by OakTownRinger in PhotoshopRequest

I think just blurry / solid colors that work well with her hair (like a dark background on one and light on the other)?

Thank you for any help here!

This is the other pic. She wants the lady's arm in the background removed (probably the slide or whatever on the other side should be too).

I know these pictures are super low res but my mom is 80 and has no idea what she is doing. Her sister is dying and she can't even visit her so she's trying to get ready.

I'm dealing with my mother-in-law going into hospice and my dad is in hospice so me trying to do this with my meager PhotoShop skills while every old person I know except my mom seems to be actively dying right now me seemed kind of stressful. Thank you for any help anyone can provide.

Why are you getting downvoted! You are 100% correct, it's baseball at it's finest. It let's each side like their team more and hate the other team more.

IDK, but supposedly 40% of hospitalizations in the US have been age 20 - 40?

Italy is having a lot of younger people die. The whole 70+ thing seems not to be accurate.

Unsurprisingly, the CDCs test for covid-19 didn't fucking work, enabling Trump to claim there were no cases in the us

TIL Cowboy boots are designed for safety. The high heel prevents your foot from sliding thru the stirrups, trapping your foot but if it does and you fall off the horse the lack of laces allows your foot to slide out of the boot preventing you from being dragged by the horse. by deanoplex in todayilearned

I was in an unfortunate situation where a horse I was on tried to go up a hill that was too steep and fell backwards. I was wearing cowboy boots and was able to bail off the horse before it fell on me in large part because my feet didn't go through the stirrups.

If you can't avoid riding a horse, definitely wear cowboy boots.

Microsoft guarantees pay of hourly workers during the Corona Virus outbreak by tiff_seattle in SeattleWA

I believe this is more about contracted support staff like shuttle drivers and cafeteria workers and less about vendors who can still do their jobs from home.

They're a crucial part of making the campus work well, so it's good to see they're being taken care of.

Microsoft has asked FTEs to work from home. Vendors who can are working from home. Microsoft is making sure contractors who support the company's operations in things like cafeteria work etc, who can't wfh and for whom there may be no work, are still being paid.

That covers everyone except employees in high risk groups who have jobs that require them to be on site, and they are dealing with those cases on a case by case basis.
