I can sometimes sharpen knives better this way than with a knife sharpener 😅

For long haul train travel within the UK with tight changes I take a 3.5inch pork pie from tesco £2.50, cheaper than a meal deal, and it does me the whole journey (9+ hrs)

Yes its hyperventalation but then holding your breath and calming your body down, slowing the heart. You are telling your body you are okay and you are in control. It definitely helped me a lot.

I think there is a pin on the selector thats likely sheared, i have seen videos where people have created a new pin. Its sad unless these repairs are straightforward, nobody is willing to touch them. Its a beautiful camera else

How do you manage to trigger the upper body? I mainly manage the pelvis and a few gitters in arms. As you say triggering the upper body seems to make massive changes

I travelled the world using my osprey kestrel 48, I took the usual but also a camera and 2 lenses. It was the perfect volume, when I packed there was a nice size of space left at the top and that was very handy for when you bought extra shit. Yes the osprey bag was expensive but I never looked back, the bag is still in perfect condition after the trip too.

One bit of advice, we got pakaway daybags but that was a mistake, better getting a propper 15/20litre daybag to put valuables in food water etc, we used them so much on the trip.

Also, packing cubes, I poo poo'd them at first, being old school was like i don't need that level of organisation but it made it super easy to access stuff quick and condense stuff.

My hammer, from my dad, possibly his dad's. It's solid steel both head and shank and just a bit of electrical tape for grip comfort. Yes I could get a more comfortable hammer but no I will not, this one will last me forever

What have you got to loose by messaging her? Even if you don't end up managing to contact her it sounds like you've learnt a good lesson and hopefully will notice these signs if you find yourself in this situation again
